The Craven Dwed

16th of the Grand Harvest, 1590

   After the Decimation of the Dwarven forces in this years Skirmish between the HOLY ORENIAN EMPIRE and the Stouted half-casts, the brethren of the fallen Dwarves decided to take up arms, enraged at the loss in the battle and attacked an empty castle, slaying in complete cold blood, the unarmed farmers out in the feed, working to feed the Holy soldiers and civilians of the Empire. But like their brethren, the Dweds, failed in this task of combat, let many of the farmers escape. The dwarves stunted legs could not catch up the farmers who spread the word of a dwarven attack. 

  "To Arms!" Cried the men of the Orenian empire, the message had been sent all over the realm, urging the men of Oren to take up arms and rally,  forcing back the dreaded dwarves. And so they did, they took up arms and charged towards Wetz, along the way more and more men joined the valiant charge eventually surrounding the castle of which the down-trodded dwarves had occupied. En-circled, the dwarves had no option but to charge into the Orenian lines and die with glory for their race. But the CRAVEN DWED DID NOT,No! Instead the cravens formed a circle within their ranks and opened the gate, charging forth... Away from the orenian lines, the slower dwarves were left behind, they hold no loyalty to their own race, not even to their own mothers, but it made no difference to the Courageous men of oren, cutting down the retreating dwarves. Being faster, and stronger and working together, it wasn't hard. Running as their life depended on it, the dwarves shed their weapons and armor, diving into the ocean to get away, the men of Oren lined up on the shores of the beach, firing upon the drowning dwarves. 

   And that is story of the Dwarves, angered at their loss, charge into an undefended castle, just to run back home to their mothers when faced with Orenian Might.
