“Victory will follow those with just cause, ill be the day that tyranny is blessed with the fortune of our gods.”

- Grand King Thorin Grandaxe, prior to his conquest of the Holy Orenian Empire

As a new day dawns, a great congregation of dwarves from all walks of life amass within the beating heart of their mountain home of Kal’Omith. High above them, great streams of molten magma seep down deep into the vast underbelly of the city. There, amidst the crowd of dwedmar, the newly elected monarch, Bastion Ireheart, takes to the seat of the obsidian throne, signalling for silence within the assembly below.

“Sons of Urguan,

It is with great regret that I bring before you the news that our exalted father, Grand King Algoda Frostbeard, has fallen to the forces of evil that persist in their undying quest to bring this nation to ruin. Devoid of any hope that they can win this war on the battlefield, the dishonoured sycophants have murdered our liege in cold blood. Alas, his soul now rests at peace within the halls of Khaz’A’Dentrumm, beneath the eternal patronage of the gods.

Although Algoda may no longer walk this plane, what he has achieved will not be forgotten. Beneath his leadership, our brethren have succeeded to push back the tide of Horenite aggression from our kingdom’s borders. In doing so, he has restored hope to the common citizenry of Axios, who will stand no longer beneath the heel of this infernal empire. His martyrdom will prove to be their undoing.

The Horens, who have long basked in their opulent palaces while good men have died for their ignoble pursuits are now powerless as they see their empire fall to ruin. They deem themselves dragons, albeit a dragon does not cower, while others fight its battles for it. They will rue the day they saw fit to see themselves as god-emperors over the denizens of Axios. Sons of Urguan, now is the hour to fight. We who have stood for an age beneath the enlightenment of the gods, while humanity has strived time after time to shatter the will of our people. Not now, not ever have they proved successful.

To the citizens of Axios, we shall expound the ideals of sovereignty, law and justice. Never again shall an empire thrive while we dwedmar stand upon the sacred earth that the Worldforger and Allfather, Yemekar, laid out for us. We seek not the spoils of war, nor power over the peoples of humanity. No, for it is not within our right to determine who should possess dominion over their realms. Like the dwarves of old Aegis, every drop of blood we spill shall be for the honour of our ancestors and the promise of a better world. To strike a name from the Book of Grudges and ensure our Lord’s will is fulfilled.

My kin, we march forth from our mountain halls and into the mouth of the beast. Like the beating of fire on ice, avenge your fallen brothers and show this so called ‘Emperor,’ what it means to incur the wrath of Urguan’s sons."
