Once more we find ourselves in conflict; war. Yet not on the same level of wars of the past. Yes, this war is too a war of Faith. The Church under Courland has announced a 'Holy' War upon men of Haense; Canonist men. It was on that day I truly saw their Church as vile Heretics. I saw the bloodlust of Orcish kind in Courland, that which has not been seen since the Empire of Oren wished to eradicate the Dwed. I speak not for either side on their true intentions of this war for we all know the horrors of the Empire and surely neither side wishes to see it again. Humanity is splintered, yes. Yet Humanity is strong, stretching across Tahn in harmony with the other races. It was only a matter of time for Humanity to have quarrels and war each other for that is how things always will be. Yet upon the call of a Holy War do I see how Humanity has truly been divided. Truly fallen.

Humanity is united in its most truest form by FAITH.'

An Empire is not wished for by Kings and formed by conquest. An Empire forms when Humanity is restricted and condemned by outside forces, those seeking to tuck Humanity away in fear they will grow strong. Truly, an Empire will only come about by the hands of those that wish not to see another Empire, by those that wish to interfere with Humanity's struggles and by those that are above all not Mankind. Yes, I speak of my friends and allies the Dwed. There would never be a risk of an Empire should you not have interfered with Humanity's struggle. Alas, your greed has blinded you my most humble companions. You use your fear of an Empire to strike down Mankind. You used Mankind to topple the Empire for both the good of the realm yet also for your own lust for power. Use not Humanity's struggle again to make use of your greed and fear of the Empire only to strike once more at Mankind. Courland was your tool to topple the Empire, but I will not sit by as you use Courland to divide the Faithful by assisting Heretics in their 'Holy' War. If this was a Dwarven struggle I am sure you would not want Mankind to interfere. If this was your Faith being attacked by other Dwed I am sure you would not want Humanity to interfere.

The struggle today is with Humanity. If a threat of an Empire were to come about I would raise my blade against it, as most would. Yet, the very real threat today is that against my Faith. I will not sit idle. No matter who I must face, no matter what Heretics preach and no matter of all things worldly. I stand by my Faith, forever truly.

Dwain remembers oaths and alliances were made to Aesterwald when they were invaded by human empire. He remembers the homeless orcs that were taken in and then we're war declares by am empire. He remembers also of the dukes war and the petty wars of asulon.
