This makes me want to delve deeper into the Dwarven language. Kal might mean.. The city of? Urguan is the father of Dwarves.. So the city of Urguan? Maybe if we had a language, we could name it the city of rebirth or the city of gold.. Eh, just food fer thought.

Im hoping we actually have a use for barons and a nobility system in the new land. I feel as if we havent spread out enough in the current map.

We were disallowed from spreading out because we created 5 cities within two months, one city broke off and was a success, the others were destroyed on purpose by events. I am not sure how the new government system will work, but I assume with the new roles we will keep baron, and I personally want to use overseer again, to give certain people jobs to facilitate and keep the different districts in check.

I had an idea where barons and nobles would be part of an assembly nd be the check and balances of the king and the high council would be just leaders overhear trade but have little say unless they were barons themselves.

Yeah, having elders could be interesting, the only thing you don't want to do is to make a power struggle where one side is always fighting the other side to see who is in charge, that could be a problem with more than two sides wanting the power. The system that we have now is alright, but it needs to be more thorough, positions such as adviser and apprentice should be added, not to the council, but just general positions.

Agreed elders could be really old dwarfs that look over the empire and are the voice of the people.

I doubt it is going to be a sphere since it is going to be a big cavern, and caverns are not spheres.

Is it possable that don't not build the gates, if ye leave it up to the officers I feel it will be alot better and ave a more safe feeling to it,

You'll be able to add and change things, the head guard will, to the walls in case you don't like the defenses, but they will be building the walls and gates, if they don't build them before the release, you could have a surprise attack and not be ready, but the walls are going to be built beforehand because they will be more complete this time, and not bad and have flaws like on the current one. I'm not sure if they are going to build the guard area, they might start it and let you guys finish/improve it to your liking.

If you, or anyone else have any suggestions for the walls/guard gates, then post them in this thread.

Also, click the edit button next time so that you don't have to double post.

There wont bemuch walls as the main gate will be built into the side of the mountain there will be guard towers sticking out of the mountain in various places to make sure we have a whole view of our great gates.

If there are only one or two walls, then there is a risk of being over run much easier. Also, are you going to be doing the tier idea where there are "levels". If you do that you could have walls protecting each of the levels, with gates, not actively guarded but for defense, that works its way back to the main castle, which would have a final master gate.

The main gate into the mountain where the guards are stationed will be built into the mountain the capital it self will have its own defenses like the pic from before with that lava river.
