About

The Sentinels are an army of strong, capable, determined, and steadfast soldiers. They pledge themselves to the protection of Veris and her people.The Sentinels are in charge of upholding the laws of Veris, while within the city.Sentinels answer the calls of the empire, to defend them in times of war, along with defending their allies when needed. Through times of peace and those of war, the Sentinels serve.

 

Duties

Sentinels are to uphold the laws of Veris at all times. They are also expected to participate during wars. The Sentinels should always follow their commanding officers orders, the entirety of the Sentinels should follow the Marshals order indefinitely. Some other duties of the Sentinels are as follows

 

-To fight for Veris in times of War.

-Attend Sentinel trainings,and practices.

-To act as a city guard and peacekeepers, patrolling the city and doing gate duty.

-Guard Veris and its official allies when needed.

-To act as a guard during kingdom sponsored event.

-Assisting with various manual labour.

-To follow the commands of the Marshal, and Princes.

 

Ranks

- 

Marshal

The Marshal is the leader of the Sentinels. His hard workmanship has shone through, and he has been offered this rank. All Sentinels should fall his orders without question. Disobeying the Marshal comes with terrible consequences. The Marshal only answers to the High Princes of Veris.

 

Captain

Captains are confident brave soldiers, they’ve proven themselves within battle, and years of service to Veris. Captains take commands directly from the Marshal and pass them along to the lower ranks. Its is the Captain's duty to manage the legion in the absence of the Marshal. They also organize all and any events for the Sentinels. There are only ever two Captains are one time.

 

Knight

The elite rank within the Sentinels. Knights have proven themselves capable, and smart. Knights work to command the soldiers when the Marshal, nor Captain or around. Their duty is to ensure the soldiers are consistently working to protect and serve Veris.

 

Levyman

A Levyman has proven their loyalty. They are given most of the duties of the Sentinels.

Such as gate duty, and patrols.

 

Unoathed

An unoathed is someone yet to be sworn into the Sentinels. They have quite a few duties, such as cleaning the barracks, and counting stock. Once they have proven themselves they will become a Levyman, and be sworn into the Sentinels.

 

Armor & Uniform

Sentinels are required to wear their uniform at all times.

Taxes

Men and Women of the Sentinels are not expected to pay any form of taxation within Veris.

Meaning they can live within a house of Veris for free, they simply need to pay the first payment for the house itself. More information regarding housing can be found here.
