Dreek 1633 Share Posted July 3, 2017 Monthly FM Log Introduction Hi everyone, I’d like to take this chance to introduce myself as the new Forum Team Director, my name is Dreek and I have been an active role player in the Dwarven sub-community for about five years. I hope that with these update logs the FM team can keep the community informed with what we have been doing for the past month and what we plan to do in the upcoming one. New Forum Team Managers A few new managers have stepped in to fill the shoes of those who have let in the past few weeks. Please give them a hearty welcome! New Forum Team Moderators Quite a few new faces have joined the team this month, and everyone has been doing a great job so far! Exodus Many of you saw the exodus of staff that occurred earlier in the month and likely many of you saw the situation that the FM team was left in. During the exodus and its aftermath the FM team lost 8 members along with our entire management team; LadyRebecca, Vaynth(Left to focus on AT),Ren, Tox, Trinn, and AerialKebab. I’d like to thank LadyRebecca in particular for her amazing work in creating a friendly yet efficient working environment in the team while also leading reforms for much of the internal policies of the FM Team. While we did take a hit, the team is firmly back on its feet now and has nearly refilled the slots that were opened by the resignations. We’ve added both old and new faces to the team in order to bring both new ideas and old stability to the team. Roster With the changing of the team, here is the most up to date roster. Debate Sub-Forum We are announcing the release of the Debates Forum, located here: https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/forum/714-the-debates-forum/ . Thanks to the work of Esry and Paleo who came up with the idea and reformed the system to be more effective than its previous iterations. We hope this forum will be able to facilitate productive debates between members while maintaining a healthy environment of intellectual conversation. Please note that every debate will have to go through an approval process and obtain a majority vote of approval among the FM team and have no objections raised by the admin team and team directors. This process may take up to 2 days. Coalition vs Oren Posting I didn’t want to have to make this kind of post, but the last week has shown a large increase in players attacking each other and baiting each other into breaking the forums rules. The team does not want to see any more of this, and it is unhealthy for new players to come in and see this sort of toxic behavior. This counts as a verbal warning to those who continue to post things like this.(Ex: ‘A night in Oren’). We will be issuing warning points to those who continue-and if one continues past this they will be placed on content moderation. To note: We understand what friendly banter is, but the vast majority of these threads and statuses have not been friendly. New Applicants While the team has almost filled up its slots once again, we are still looking for new members! We are specifically looking for someone who finds themself in the Australian/Eastern Asian time zones-an area we find ourselves short in. If you happen to live in one of those time zones, we implore you to apply for the team. In addition, we have updated the application by adding in a question asking how long each applicant plans to stay on the team.
