oh! i dont really know what youre talking about but its likely an effect of the 'sharpen' tool i used in gimp! here's what the crystals looked like beforehand ->

they arent 'pixelated' really, at least i didnt  t r y  to go for that !! as you can see, the rest of the drawing is also messy n stuff because i didnt want to spend any longer rendering it :P rip
