With courtesy to his holiness the Grand Prophet, and his sacred Council of Zealots, the Frostbeard Clan respectfully declines the request of the Clergy.

In regards to the somewhat brazen suggestion that the honoring of two of our Clan Lords is threatening to Yemekar’s balance - We would remind the Clergy that these Lords are great symbols in the history of our Clan, whether they are coined as traitors in your eyes, the fact is not negated. To attempt to force us into clearing them from our history will not be possible, as every generation must be honored and we believe these Clan Lord’s a substantial component of our past. We believe they should remain so that future generations may learn from the history of their lineage.

We are saddened to hear that the naming of our roads and streets, is something that ‘simply tips the scale farther than should be allowed’ in your eyes. Such an obscure connection is a prime example of how the true meaning of Yemekar’s Balance has been veiled in ulterior lights, and it’s value as a holy concept has been wholly decreased in its constant use as a blanket statement, used to cover all angles of the Clergy’s unease when they have no written protocol.

We are oblivious to the true reasoning behind such a pointless exercise of authority. Frankly, it bewilders us that there are not more pressing matters at hand to those of the Clergy. Various bystanders within Jornheim were surprised to witness their own King’s outrage at the signs during a visit, as if this matter were a direct attack on his reign, he offered only the confidence that they would be taken down at all costs. Simply stated, there is no offence meant in the display of our patriarchs, and why the Grand King is vexed at this issue is an enigma to us.

With the utmost respect, we think such flagrant pedanticism is entirely unnecessary, and by virtue of our history, and our respect for it, we will not take the signs down. In times as unsettled as these, we cannot see why the Clergy would choose to pursue such a trivial matter. If only to preserve internal relations, we believe your council should have considered the controversy that these actions would muster in these times. This coupled with aggressive visits from the Grand King; there was a resolution to this conflict, but obviously a grudge still lies ripe in the Kingdom. This missive seems a guise for a greater motive, it’s obvious to us that there are other issues from previous transgressions at play.

The Frostbeard Clan however, wish to extend a warm appreciative thanks to the Clergy, in the civility of their approach and return this letter with warm regards. We will not concede this matter out of principle. History, lineage, and tradition remain at the foremost of our ideals, and as such we cannot take the road signs down for the reasons you have stated - reasons that we believe lie with no real legitimacy.

Kindest regards, we hope this meets you in good health.

Signed,

Clan Lord Garrond Frostbeard, Jarl of Jornheim

Clan Elder Verthaik II Frostbeard, Leader of the Bearguard

With a hearty tankard of ale, Ajax Roars "Ye canne be takin' our heritage and pride away lads! you don't want those names on streets, don't be namin' them in yours!"

Gorgo comes to see what all the commotion is about. Seeing it is over a sheet of paper he comes to believe the commotion is over the elaborate seal and some sort of street magic. He claps loudly yelling over the crowd "Stamp et twice! Make et come out with a nu design!" After quickly losing interest he continues clapping, going to the tavern to look for some ugly lads to keep in line

Borgo stood to the side of his brother, Gorgo, clapping along with ecstatic energy. He chimes in, "Stamp et as many times as ye wunt! Non' shall stop us frem stampin'!" He would then smack his brother on the back of the head and proceed back to his fishing hole.
