TO OUR BELOVED SUBJECTS, It is imperative to note the incapability of d’Amaury’s perseverance in our time of political turmoil, wherein the only capable heir to succeed the Archduchy of Lorraine is absent from our realm. Therefore, the Closed Council of the Holy Orenian Empire, and the respective vassals of the Archduchy of Lorraine have convened to discuss matters of great import. With nary a d’Amaury present, the Crown, and the Archduchy of Lorraine’s vassals have henceforth come to an agreement. His Majesty, Otto II has been consulted in this most unfortunate time; the Archduchy of Lorraine is to henceforth be disbanded, with the ducal house of d’Amaury deemed absent from our realm. It is by this missive, that the Crown does dissolve the Archduchy of Lorraine, and henceforth declares the vast fields to be officially recognised as the Crownlands. The Archduchy of Lorraine’s vassalage will attend court by the 11th of The Amber Cold, 1628 to re-affirm their fealty to their new liege lord, His Imperial Majesty, Peter II Sigismund; therein becoming vassals of the Crownlands. II. The Archduchy of Lorraine’s lands will henceforth be ceded to the Crownlands; its economic, military, and state affairs will inherently accompany this missive. III. The Archduchy of Lorraine will henceforth be dissolved and its lands subtracted into the Crownlands, therefore, the once Archduchy will be known as a participating factor of the Crownlands; the Crownlands. Should the House of d’Amaury resurface with the intent to reclaim their once noble prestige with suitable backing, then the Crown may potentially see it fit to bequeath onto their once noble peerage the entitlement of Archduke. Eleanor Barbanov née d'Amaury then shifted on her heel so that she may march through the open door that lead to her bedchamber with an expression that can only be interpreted as one of extreme anger painted on her visage.
