The future is arrowproof,

The aftermath is secondary,

It's time to do it now and do it loud,

Killjoys,

Make some noise!

-DJ Sprigga

Discussions of bringing the Red Faith back to Norland had failed. Jevan, having dismissed Arthas, Elle, and Exander’s requests due to words uttered in a moment of anger, met later with Elle. She played the game well, discussing the potential return of the Red Faith to Norland. He refused, however, insisting that he would not allow this as long as Arthas was still the head of the faith. Elle left with a mask of friendliness, but a rage brewing in her heart. A plan had been formed in her mind. Norland would suffer for their attempt to throw away what she held most dear to her heart. The torches in the grand hall as well as the flames outside of it giving her an idea for revenge.

Earlier in the month, Elle had met with an old friend, learning from him the most efficient ways to start a fire, to burn a building down. He’d given her the knowledge, as well as several bottles of cooking oil. She’d held onto them, thinking and plotting of what place she would burn down. In the end, the failed meetings with Jevan and Richard Tarsington-Keint had decided for her. Norland would be burned. The Ash Tree would be spared. The Prince of Ash would have a city of ash to match his title.

The planning was earnest enough, Elle began to gather the wheat from a Norlandic field. The work was hard on her, having not grown up farming. Several days later, her labor paid off and the wheat had been gathered. It was left to dry out, Elle’s prayers to the All-Father for a lack of rain answered. Once it had dried, it was bound together in bundles and she left it by the side of the grand hall, claiming she would be using it to make bread later if asked about it.

The hay bundles were drenched in the cooking oil and she placed them down around the outside of the hall. Her hands were shaky, she knew her fate should they catch her, but it seemed no one cared nor noticed the simple girl placing hay around the hall. Her fear was only matched by her annoyance at the texture of the oil on her hands. The icing on the cake was the last bundles, placed around the throne, and the last bottle of oil poured down the hallways. The bottles were tossed aside. An alchemist fire was carefully set down outside of the hall. An arrow was shot at it, igniting the hay immediately, the fire spreading mercilessly.

‘Red’, having come to look for his friend, laid a hand on her shoulder, shaking his head. A grin formed on Elle’s face as the flames erupted, engulfing the building. The fire grew quickly, quicker than Elle had planned for. The flames were soon visible for miles, ‘Red’ and Elle both worried as they realized the extent of the fire. ‘Red’ scooped Elle up, running off with her as the structure’s front beams collapsing from the fire, the inside crumbling as the supports failed. Her prior panic turned to amusement and Elle laughed.

“Look alive, sunshine. We got ‘em.”

Brynden Greymane would drop to his knees at the stairs of the 'once grand' hall, shaking his head and muttering words of unease

"All Father guide me in these troubling times, for Norlands flame is dying out, and my only regret is letting any of this happen"

Beorik would be stating in general. He doesn't know who did it but political unrest within the walls of Norland would make it fairly obvious that it would be a Red Faith follower. Norland would have been guarded and it would be more fitting for a Red Faith follower to burn it down.

'Red' sat back and thought about the current war between Norland, and Renatus, recalling that even with the norlandic guards that he, a stranger in the lands of the Krag, is always able to enter the lands undisturbed. The man comes to the conclusion that Renatus could of easily sent a couple men in, without uniform, and set the hall ablaze whilst the women of Norland slept.

Beorik shrugs his shoulders deciding not to contemplate human affairs.

Arthas would reply in an equally nebulous fashion, "the conflict arises because the Ashling Prince has denied the Red Faith as the state religion of the realm. Without the All Father there can be no Norland and there can be no Norlandic king. The practice of the faith is irrelevant if the foundations upon which it was based are forever shaken due to the antics of some power mad youths."

Alifer sighs, he begins to state the obvious. "An Ash prince can only rule untop a throne befitting of him. That throne is a throne of ash, and we have provided him with one in kindness. Enjoy.."
