Looking for Feedback, from halflings and non-halflings alike!

Pretty self explanatory, I'm looking for feedback on the halflings of Dunshire, from those who live there and from those who just visit. I want us to provide the best roleplay that we can for ourselves and others, and to maintain the good community that we've been holding onto to some degree since Aegis. Anyways, onto some questions.

What should the halfling community look and behave like, in OOC and RP?

If you could change one thing about the village, what would you change?

Are you enjoying roleplaying as a halfling/roleplaying with halflings? Why do you feel the way you do?

What could be done to make the halfling roleplay better, in your opinion?

What could be done to make the halfling community better, in your opinion?

Anything else to say?

It should be a peaceful community of people who are chill in OOC and capable of creating good story and fun through RP.

If you could change one thing about the village, what would you change?

If I could change anything, I would give revert the village back to the building style we used in Dunwood and Branborough purely because I like how the burrows looked back then, and I'd give us more veteran players who are active, so that there's always people to stop the village from falling apart due to this or that.

Are you enjoying roleplaying as a halfling/roleplaying with halflings? Why do you feel the way you do?

I generally enjoy roleplaying as a halfling whenever there's roleplay to be had. Sometimes I get a bit oversaturated when visitors come into the village, sometimes (usually during the weekdays) there's not enough stuff happening and I get a bit bored, but all in all it's pretty nice. The halflings in Dunshire are all wonderful people, and I enjoy roleplaying with every one of 'em.

What could be done to make the halfling roleplay better, in your opinion?

More events and fun things happening instead of just small talk all the time and the odd adventure. Change things in the village a bit, make a new burrow out of pumpkins and leftover firewood, burn it down because you thought that munchkins were living in it out of paranoia, start your own fishing competition with silver nuggets as the bait, cut down a tree and make up a story about how a giant beaver came down from the heavens and cut it down instead of you. Silly, wacky, and fun, yet still grounded in reality. That is what makes halfling roleplay good.

What could be done to make the halfling community better, in your opinion?

We need to rebuild our playerbase a wee bit here and there. While we are doing alright activity wise, we could always do with another good roleplayer, another chill halfling, and just more fun people in the village in general.

Anything else to say?

I think I'm going to start practicing what I preach and make some kinda Tom Bombadil-esque character to fool around with and have a jolly ol' time in the village with. Not trolly sorta fun, but genuine roleplay that just happens to be a bit out of the ordinary and FUN!

Just the way you are you sweet bundles of joy

Not a direct copy of the Shire 0/10

Even though Ive pretty much solely played a dwarf since i joined in Aegis, I have always had a fondness for hafling rp and players, because it really takes a pure and untainted heart to play a hairy midget who just smokes weed and eats all day

What could be done to make the halfling roleplay better, in your opinion?

throw more rocks

What could be done to make the halfling community better, in your opinion?

Have alot more sex so there's more of you

Anything else to say?

I honestly would love to rp with you fellows alot more, although it is difficult to make the trip.

Maybe youll let this old Dwarf live amongst you. I could be a discount Gandalf!

Thanks for the feedback, but halflings would never fund a war if they could avoid it, and halfling warriors seem out of place in the peaceful shire. Also halflings don’t care about politics outside the village typically, and I don’t see why we’d ever try to influence said politics.

What should the halfling community look and behave like, in OOC and RP?

Relaxed, not to uptight. Welcoming.

If you could change one thing about the village, what would you change?

Less focus on 'properness' and more.. enjoyable roleplay.

Are you enjoying roleplaying as a halfling/roleplaying with halflings? Why do you feel the way you do?

I am, but that's because I spend my time away from the villages.

What could be done to make the halfling roleplay better, in your opinion?

Relaxing more, letting in a broader scale of ideas, and not trying to replicate times of the past, IE 'golden days'

What could be done to make the halfling community better, in your opinion?

Being more relaxed, open to more things. ACTIVE.

Anything else to say?

Nope

Ay, retired LOTC player and halfling veteran:

What should the halfling community look and behave like, in OOC and RP?

OOC: Chill, accepting and welcoming for new halflings. This is very important because as a halfling leader your goal is to keep activity up, and being mean OOC won't get people to stay. Make sure you have a halfling discord to help manage activity.

RP: One village, only one. Please no more, Idk if you guys have more but it's awful to have more than 1 village. Halflings are a small race and need activity, more villages split up the activity, letting both of the towns die.

Also, you do need some action once in a while, having peaceful rp is fun but you need some action sometimes. Feel free to do town run events that will boost

If you could change one thing about the village, what would you change?

idk i havent played in like a year

Are you enjoying roleplaying as a halfling/roleplaying with halflings? Why do you feel the way you do?

I enjoyed it a lot because it was relaxing and a unique experience, also the towns are always beautiful.

What could be done to make the halfling roleplay better, in your opinion?

Like i said above, it can't be boring. Make shogging competitions, make festivals, etc., you have to get people to like halflings and want to engage in your community. That's what i enjoyed a lot, in the beginning of Axios Reedsborough had a huge shogging competition which helped establish that we were an alive race, and let people enjoy us. You also have to make sure you have properness, but don't be cancer about it. Properness is halfling culture, and it sets us apart from dwarves and humans, it's a useful thing to help run the town. To add onto that, if a newb halfling is acting improper, address them nicely inrp about it before crucifying them yknow?

What could be done to make the halfling community better, in your opinion?

idk i dont play just dont be cancer

Anything else to say?

long live halflings, don't die please
