Inkthorn 1434 Share Posted March 8, 2018 « Tʜᴇ Mᴀʏᴏʀᴀʟ Eʟᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴ, 1654 » We ask all the electorate in the Principality of Curon to duly and properly elect the Mayor of Cyrilsburg from among those candidates who have thus far declared their candidacy. The Mayor shall, upon his election, assume the office and begin to immediately implement necessary reforms in the city. He shall serve as chief executive officer of the Cyrilsburg Municipal Government, leading the stewardry and other local officials, under the oversight of the Chancellor. ––––– Do your duty. Choose the best man. ––––– The election is to begin today. All those who vote will be catalogued and checked against existent records. To qualify to vote, one must not necessarily own land, but they must have an active presence in the Principality. The Prince and the Chancellor shall investigate all votes, and ensure there is no voter fraud. In three Saint’s Days, a winner shall be announced. A ceremony shall be held wherein His Excellency the Mayor assumes office, and a celebration will commence posthaste. I tell you that the military takes up a good majority of our citizens, I lead not only the military but the people! I am no nobleman like The Halcourts, I am a man of the people!" Sylvestre III would state. 0 Upvote "I am simply saying that in a class system of economics, the nobles are regarded a bit different than the military and people, since we run basically a milita form of army, I am bringing together our classes, Nobles are good men, but the people know how to lead the people, as Alfred leads the Mayor if we get out of hand, the mayor leads the people." Justice will be restored, as will Faith, per my candidacy. The Convent of Esteresa and the Church will be where I gain Council from in hard times, and they will always have my support - as does any outlet of Cyrilsburg, or even the Principality in general.
