Dominion of Malin 'Rap'

This is what I do during a sunday evening when I'm bored. I have a problem, I know.

So, I wrote some lyrics for a rap of sorts about the welves and the Dominion. Hope you enjoy!

Song of Malin’s Men

Bow to the High Prince!

We are the elves,
Protectors of the forest.
When fighting with the Virarim,
We’re at our best.
Wisdom from Cernunnos,
And Cerridwen.
We will fight until the end,
Malinor will withstand.

Don’t worry mortals,
Malin’s children are here!
No matter the enemy,
Our soldiers know no fear!
Hundreds of years ago,
We elves lead the way,
And well as it turns out,
We still do that to this day!

What have we done,
In a time so long?
Well we proved ev’ry enemy,
That they were wrong.
They said elves,
No real enemy, no real muscle,
But as it turns out,
We can really make you hustle.

With the help of the druids,
We keep the world pure.
A good portion of aspectism,
Tends to be the cure.


Hey Orenorum Imperium,
Being your vassals?
Let me be honest,
Sounds kind of dumb.
Like we did it with the ‘aheral,
We will break away.
‘Cuz by know you should know,
That’s how we like to play.
Sorry if that bothers you,
If it interrupts your mission.
Still you better bugger off,
We’ve got the coalition!

So let me sum it up,
We have come pretty far.
But unlike you mortals,
We cán withstand a war.
We let them join, the ‘aheral,
And the dark elves too.
But when they said,
“What about the ‘fenn?”
We said, who?

Because we beat them,
Yes, in every battle.
No matter how many fights,
We wouldn’t let them settle.
And one day we will defeat ‘em.
Yes we will in the end.
For in that frozen city,
There’s noone to defend.

We are the elves,

We were plagued by the undead,
Yeah they really were annoying.
We returned with paladins,
Showed them we weren’t toying.
The Druidic Order, they shape order,
They keep balance in this world,
In Malinor, across the border.
And if you tend to disagree,
Or even show that urge,
Well don’t you worry, comrade,
You’re just something they will purge.

Oh you haven’t met our priests?
We call them the Naelulir!
And if you’re a foolish pagan,
They’ll make things clear!
Teach you about the aspects,
And the balance of  the world.
With converting everyone,
Their plan is unfurled.

You know that God awful feeling when you get a ping on Discord

And think 'oh, maybe someone needs me', or it could be they're just bored

But then it turns out it's just @everyone?

Yeah, that's about how I feel. 

 

First of all, you call it a rap, but I think that's a misnomer.

Your beats are so starved, they're more like the Holodomor.

And you repeat the same lines over and over

You need back and forth, some 'red rover, red rover.'

 

Cernunnos, Cerridwen, blah blah blah.

You ever count the shrines in you're forests written in Blah?

You can try to brown nose, to represent your community

And show some creativity

But I think we all agree this was a missed opportunity. 

 

You have such a lack of flow I'd call it white magic

And just like Oren' s fall, it's really quite tragic:

I mean, you tried to rhyme mortal and aheral.

And that's when you know your rap is in peril.

 

Well, I've spent more time writing this than I'd like to admit.

And yeah, I'm sure this makes me a hypocrite

But at least I didn't make a thread and share it with my friends.
