A Year and an explination. And a AMA.

Hello howdy hi. Yesterday marked a year that I've actively taken up an interest in the Lotc community, with the 20th being when I done diddly do the whilelist.
 

If yesterday wasn't, and the past couple weeks, an indication, I've been going through some stuff. So here's a explanation rather than trying to explain it anew to every person who asks.

 

My name is Keefy. I'm a 26 year old IT who does hardware maintenance and network security systems and such. Or at least that's what the multi-thousand dollar piece of paper says, I do assorted jobs here and there to pay bills, usually cooking pizza. Yay bills. Regardless that's one part.

 

I have, since the age of 16, been in the hospital dozens of times. I have gone through eleven assorted surgeries since the age of 18, my right leg is mostly useless and its range of motion is comparable to a rusted trash bin lid where you pray it doesn't break every time you need to throw away a muffin wrapper. I formed and fought cancer development in my throat at the age of 16, because my throat mutated from severe stomach acid levels. Turns out my xmen mutation gene was throat cells trying to turn into intestine cells and reasonably that doesnt work out well for your body, cue cancer. I've generally consistently bad stomach, including a form of colitis that I cannot even fathom spelling right now.

 

I could keep listing off **** but you get the idea. I move around enough to get things done but generally I am not a healthy person. Having two-three doctors give you a reasonable time to last as around your fourties isn't encouraging, and so THAT CAUSES DEPRESSION.

 

This culminated in a suicide attempt uuh, about three years ago, before I even knew this place existed. Was institutionalized for about a 9 days in a place so quiet I thought I had legitimately died. This marked the point where I had to fight hard against depression.

 

I ended up beginning to see a therapist and a new psychiatrist after this and progress was made, though it's been shaky at times. Last time it was shaky was when I had to get a surgery for ocular hip impingement or right now id have a artificial hip. Even then the damage was so bad it further fucked my right leg again. The rusty waste-bin lost a screw to continue the analogy.

 

About this time I was working a crap from home job assisting people with remote installations of assorted stuff, mostly printers and what not, that was on a locked salary, trying to finish school. My old communities dried up, not being able to move around in a prolonged manner and, some days, not at all cause of assorted factors, I was lacking in social contact. I can't get out much so that really marks off stereotypical concepts such as a bar or maybe a gaming shop, there are a few near me but again, rusty hinges.

 

So I gathered up with some of my kiddos and from another community we shifted over here and for a very long time things have been good. I started in Sutica and such, ran with the Orcs for a longtime, before shifting to the druids.

 

This was a marked turn for me here. After awhile I met @Delmodan who has become one of my best friends in particular, amongst so many more. @Hyenas toxic animal face has always been a reliable friend since we've met as well. But the druidic community can be a cancer zone but its a tumor that makes the pain go away some days.
 

And then the american insurance industry strikes. I started moving into a new place in April, but I also lost my insurance. I have, once again, many health concerns, and so its turned into me tip toeing anything I do trying to prevent anything from becoming aggravated. And assorted stuff within the LOTC community in general compounded this stress, which has led me to break down a few times.

I'm not a perfect person and I don't pretend to be such. I act before I think sometimes and I get a little weird, but I try and mean well. I apologize to those who I have ever caused issues for and such, but this place is, at least right now, the only place I have friends or any social contact really. I'm sitting in my half unpacked apartment typing this because my work shift has left my leg about numb from the knee down and I can't walk right.

I'm waiting til I speak to my therapist and such before I return online on the server itself, but for now, forum stuff. This is my one year AMA. Have at it but watch it.

You seem like a good fella, just a big brash and blunt. Never really seen anything bad out of you that would constitute me not having a good opinion of you, tbh.

You just seem like a sweetheart swimming in a river of coffee and manuscripts. Ain't ever been anything less than supportive and friendly to me.

Eithne is a sweet, curious lass. She's all the curiosity and strive Hare did as a dedicant without having had done anything terrible to anyone in her like, unlike him.

 

Elvira a very unique oddball of a lady, whose willing to go the distance to try and help people. She should probably see a counselor about that mocha fetish.

Best lotc memory is a tough one. A good contender was when I was having a rough time irl and trying to help manage Sutica at the time during Squirts Era, managed to defuse a raid into a 30+ drinking party with my kiddos and some randoms including the raiders. It was a good time, and thankfully we didn't burn the tavern down that time.

Uuuuuh I dont have cable so I'm going to answer that with current favorite broadcasting anime. Darling in the FRANXX, Violet Evergarden, and Altered Carbon kinda tie up for favorite recent things.
