GM Update Log - June 2018 ‹ Introduction › June has been a solid kick-off to our summer this year at the gm team! We’ve had some members leave us, but overall we are still in healthy numbers alongside looking for a couple new members in the near future. We’ve finished refining our selection process and it has helped us widen our scope on who we bring onto the team to serve alongside us! Our struggle for the summer will be staying on our toes and keeping on the high that the GM team has been riding off of as we’ve built ourselves up from the start of the year. As always if you have issues or complaints contact Fireheart on Discord. ‹ New Changes › GM Selection Process: We have spent some time this month going over our selection process and organizing our pending applications. We have now a streamlined process where every eligible applicant is given an interview. These conversations with applicants and trainers get sent to the team and when we are seeking new members a conversation is opened up on who would be a good fit for the role. This feedback is taken into consideration where GM management, trainers, and admins give a final weigh in before the GM lead selects the new GMs for a month long review period. This process replaced the old one where the lead receives input from trainers before picking new GMs. Obviously the new way is a lot better! Ticket Distribution: Our old ticket system worked on a process of first come first serve. If a moderator was online they could check the open tickets and claim one, all done in order of creation of course. Our new system automatically assigns an opened ticket to GMs that are below quota to help them hit our mark of 3% for the month. If they do not claim the ticket it will then go into the open tickets inbox where moderators who are at quota can then claim the ticket just like before. The system is designed to even out numbers for quota and to help GMs who can not give as many hours to LoTC as others. The reason why we wish to help these GMs out is because they aren’t bad GMs by any stretch and the thing holding them back is not the time they have to work, but getting tickets snipped before they can claim them. The other end of the sword is that by leveling out quota people will not burn out as easily. Bans: It is now being enforced for minor bans, that do not relate to serious topics such as harassment, that GMs should sign their name to the ban. This will better help banned players that have questions regarding their bans with contacting GMs for questions. On top of this, upon request, GM’s will be allowed to give you the logged ban that they have to submit for filing. This includes evidence, that is not private and can be shared, and other details regarding the ban. If a GM is unable to provide those details a player is free to contact a manager for assistance. All of this is done in hope of being more transparent to the community, and more importantly the player. The Future: Coups are nearly wrapped up and Fireheart is in final stages of drafting. Sometime in July community feedback will be collected on the new system and then the system will either be implemented or axed for another draft. In July we will be taking a look at Heist to see if that is something we can bring back fairly to LoTC so stay tuned for that! ‹ Current Team Roster › ‹ Monthly Statistics › * The GM team received a total of 3859 modreqs in June. * Congratulations and thank you to: _Lark_, Wrynn, and countessem for handling the most tickets! The monthly quota for the GM-Team is 3%, for this month that meant an individual GM had to complete a total of 115 tickets. Below you can view the general statistics for all members of the team. Keep in mind some GMs were accepted to the team late in the month. In addition to completed tickets, there was also a sizable GM Contribution in regard to: Warclaims, raids, bans, ban-appeals and extensive modreqs.
