Guide to Signed Items

Signed Items

Signed items signify a certain level of authenticity, depending on the signature. We will lay out below what each signature means and when you are required to have one. Certain signatures are also outdated and no longer valid, if you are found having them they will be confiscated and a punishment may be given.

Signature Types

Player Signatures: These signatures are meant to be used on mundane items that a player has crafted or made in some fashion. It should never be used on a lore related item.

Event Signatures: These signatures will be placed on items that pertain to events, whether it be an event reward or a key item that must be used to progress an event.

Lore/Magic Signatures: These signatures will be placed on items that have lore elements to them. A more detailed list will be provided once the team has gone through our existing lore pieces and decided what needs a signature or not. Some examples are below of things that currently need them:
- Enchanted. Any item that is magically enchanted requires a lore signature.

- Special Lore Material. Any item that is enhanced with a special lore material, such as boomsteel, requires a lore signature.

- Alchemy. Any alchemical creation requires a lore signature.

GM/Moderator Signatures: These signatures are prohibited and not allowed. If you find an item with a GM/Moderator signature, contact the ST to turn in the item as you will be punished otherwise if discovered with the item.

Admin Signatures: These signatures are no longer utilized outside of rare exceptions, but the items with the signatures are still valid.

Lore Item Requirements

If you are making an item and want to have it lore signed, you must ensure that the following is on the item.

  • Emote Count: If your item is an enchanted item or has some kind of special trait (e.g. a regen potion or boomsteel weapon), you must state how many emotes it takes for the item to function.

  • Recharge Rate: If your item is an enchantment or something powered by magic that needs to be refueled, you need to include how often that needs to happen.

  • Lore name/Tier count: You need to include the name of the things being used in your item somewhere, whether that be in the name (e.g. “Bob’s Staff - T5 Fire Evo”) or in the description (e.g. “This item contains boomsteel.”).

  • Description: You need to include a solid description of what the item is capable of doing, including any downsides the item has. For example, a regen potion should also talk about the negative aspects of the potions so a person using it can fully understand how to RP it.

  • Event items: If you are combining event items to form something new, you need to state exactly what is being used in the item’s description. The event items also need to be on hand as the ST will take them in exchange for the new item.

What should not be included:

  • Google docs or links to other places outside of art references.

    • Google docs and the like are capable of being edited and are not approved by the ST.

  • Item holders that do not detail exactly what is in it is not allowed.

    • Things like a “bag of gems” that just details that it contains some gems of different varieties or a “alchemy pack” that contains some reagents of different varieties do not work since you can just BS what it contains and how much it contains.
