DUSK TILL DAWN

10th of Snow’s Maiden, 1718

After some deliberation and evenings dedicated within the confines of my study, I pen this letter to be authentic and therefore fulfilled to its entirety by my former privy.

As of this day, and every day onward, I renounce my claim and eternal belonging to the Prince of Vira’ker and all subsequent titles. Tendering this resignation, and upon final royal decree, the following is enacted:

-Upon coming of age. my eldest son and heir, Prince Vaelor Syllar, shall assume the Mantle of Vira’ker as birthright, adhering to the wise counsel of the Regency.

-Until Prince Vaelor reaches maturity, the former Onyx Council shall reform as a Regency Council, one to counsel and maintain realm stability and prosperity. Upon this council are the following individuals, all of which may style oneself as Regent:

                -Daichia Jusmia

                -Dak’ir Des’nox

                -Necror Ilkala

-Upon the abdication of the throne, all signed pacts, alliances and documents are hereby abolished; effectively null and void. The Sable Principality shall maintain a state of perpetual neutrality until the ascension of Prince Vaelor.

DUSK

“Family is what makes us whole, and fuels us with the drive to continue into the long night. For family, love and countless years to come, I leave my legacy to my son where he may pick up after his ancestors. For the fallen Prince Avurak, Vulnir the Stranger and now myself, Prince Vaelor shall take his place in the annals of time.

For where we are today, I am proud. Mali’ker have come a long way, one strewn with the intricacies of descendants and our turbulent histories. Without Vira’ker, I would not have met my wife or my siblings of yore. For this, I am thankful.

Love one another, find bliss in ignorance where I did not. Strength does not come from winning, but enduring.”

Valen Syllar.

DAWN

“Everyone I have befriended in Vira’ker, this is not out of spite. As a mother and wife I must do what is best for the future of my family. I leave you my clinic, and it’s items within. It was an honor being your Princess, but my duty lies within the heart of Igne’acaela herself. I am a Warhawke, now and forever. I hope my brothers and sisters smile down upon me in the stars as they have seen the progress I have made within the Mali’ker, how I have helped in uniting us all from a once broken past.

To my allies, and other friends outside of Vira’ker. This is not because I do not wish to fight for you, but because I wish to fight for you in a way I know can actually benefit our cause. I will still aid you in anyway I can, for it is something I believe in.

I was never the type to be called a Princess, or behave like one for the matter. I wish to be free without fear that my death will cause harm to the citizens within Vira’ker, I wish to be able to freely roam around and meet new faces and learn new things. With my leave, I want you all to know that I am not a stranger and if anyone I called a friend needs assistance, I will be here. Now and forever, until my soul unites with Igne’acaela.”

Leilatha Syllar.

Avurak Syllar would smile from the spirit realm "My nephew will grow into a fine leader. I am proud of you little brother. Thrown into a conflict I got us into and got killed for yet you still lead our people with honor. You've earned your break" and at that Avurak would stop talking to himself and hope one day Valen would plan a trip to see Avurak in the spirit realm so he may say it in person

Vas breathes a sigh of relief. ”Finally, I get to call Leilatha a ***** ass ***** again without fear of execution.” He then huffs. ”I will admit, I would be lying if I said I was faking the respect I held for her while under her rule.” He presses his lips together tightly, then gives another sigh. ”You did a good job, Sis.”

Illythia would watch on distantly, thoughtfully.

”I’ll see my people once again.”

Vaelor would let his gaze set out across Arcas from atop Vira'ker.  A look of determination was upon the youth's brow as he turned to his fellow Mali'ker atop the gardens.

"We must call all our clans home... I wish to see the faces of my people." Vaelor would state to those gathered upon news of the abdication by his parents. He saw his loyal friends and longtime mentors of his youth all rallied to answer the plea of the young boy-prince.  "We must move forward, only forward will we find the courage to claim our destiny from ages past.  Stand by me my council and we will see our generation prosper into something never before seen!  This I promise as your Prince." Vaelor would raise his weary hand, his injury still taking toll on his stamina as he stood from his seat.  "I would give my life just as my parents would for this place.  That is why I was brought into this world, this is my fate... To protect our home." Vaelor would sit back down into his wheelchair nodding to the regency council as he was returned to the overlook.
