A weakened Robert laid in what was once his father and both of his brother’s bed. His pale skin shined as the sunlight hit his skin. Within each breath, he took it, he had created a wheezing sound while also letting out a weak cough. A priest man who prayed over him every day and the same physicians that tried to help his father had come to the castle over the past month, only knowing that he was suffering the same pain his father had within his very own death bed that they did not know what to do.

His wife, Isabel, and his little cousins always visited him trying to give the man hope to live though he really wanted to see his older sister, Marjorie, who he hasn’t seen in years. Despite this, the physicians were quick to notice that he had caught the very same illness his father had. Him knowing this he knew what was to come of him at any moment. The continuous wheezing sound and his cough began to worsen as he slowly began to feel the grip of death coming closer to him with his time almost up. Robert looked towards his cousin, Stefan Vyronov who was the firstborn son of his cousin, Isaak. He told him to come closer where he began to inform the child “Yo-you must lead... you must accomplish wha..what I started… you must make this place grow… work with the King... do it for our predecessors… for your grandfather, Ulric, and my father, Lerald, who built this place with their own hands.. you..you must”

After letting out so much breath of air to speak to the boy he began to reflect on how his family ended up in the position his family was now in. Ever since the day, he informed the Count of Ayr and the Lord of Gant about his brother, Karl’s, death he knew what they were saying behind his back. “Plotter, murderer, usurper, traitor.” Though he always thought it was just to torment him as he was not the heir nor did he ever want to be Duke or lead. Having to be able to deal with such rumors behind his back it always reminded him that this happened to his father as well and he always thought that a Vyronov Conspiracy was an inside joke that the Baruchs and Gant wanted to bring back to life.

As death slowly began to fully make its course images began to come to his mind, where he saw him receiving the news of his sister’s death.  Him receiving the news of his father’s death. He saw the time he watched Karl torture Pierre into Malo with Sigmar Baruch being made to watch as well. He saw him receiving the news of both Jan and Isaak’s death. Then the body of his brother Karl, who he saw being laid to rest in the Vyronov tombs. He’d slowly let out the same very last words his father did when he had died “I... I didn't...do... do it...” His breath sped up and the wheezing intensified before stopping completely.

Your Royal Majesty,

I shall keep this short in order to write to you in hopes that you may consider taking my cousin and the heir of Vyronov, Stefan, as your ward to teach him things that I think no one else will. You do not have to accept this but I’d like you to consider it at least.

My Isabel,

It saddens me that I must write this as I wasn’t able to keep my promise and be the man that stayed with you in your life. It also saddens me that our marriage was cut so short due to this trial that has come to be a burden in my family's legacy and history. Despite this, I do hope that you will find the right man that will bring you the joy that I tried to bring to you, I am sorry.

OOC:

While I’ve been offline I have said Robert is ill. This character was very fun to play with though it sucked that family kept dying in every corner. When I became a Vyronov I told Flapman I don’t wanna be close to succession but things took a turn since people kept dying. I wish I could have done more but what is done is done can’t stop OOC and RP things from happening. RIP Robert.

“Perhaps he poisoned himself to evade justice! Vyronov cowards! First they murder a man who’s shadow they cowered in, then they take their own lives to save themselves the embarrassment of public execution!”

Isabel kneels beside the bed that holds the lifeless body of her late husband. She brushes a stray lock of hair from his forehead with her fingertips. Cradling the cold skin of his jawline in her hand, she speaks through her tears.

“I thought we would be beside each other through all things, but the world has struck us a cruel blow. You were there to comfort me when I had no one else to turn to, and I shall never forget that. Though I may be the only one to say it, I shall proclaim your innocence until my dying breath. Rest peacefully, dear Robert, and know that I love you.”

Eyes tear-filled, the former Duchess kisses the forehead of her husband for the last time. Blinking away her tears, Isabel regains her determined regal posture as she exits the room, quietly closing the door behind her.
