SKINGAARD VS AMADOR

16th of Sun’s Smile, 1762

LEONARD SKINGAARD

@yopplwasupxxx

DESIRES TO SUMMON THE FOLLOWING PARTY BEFORE THE SUPREME COURT;

KARL AMADOR

@Sander

ON THE BASIS OF THE FOLLOWING PRINCIPLE(S), DOCTRINE(S), EDICT(S) OR ARTICLES OF LAW:

Through his campaign for the Haense Senatorial Race of 1762, Karl Amador has breached the Campaign Integrity Act of 1757 through his wanton use of immoveable heralds ((NPCs)) on public government land of the province. While not posters as per the textual act, the use of the heralds acts in the same manner as posters, and therefore legally should be considered ‘posters’ as they operate in the same fashion (sprouts the same lines or slogans for his campaign, immoveable and remains in the same spot, etc.). As aforementioned, the heralds also operate on government land (within the public square of Reza) and not on private land as dictated by the Campaign Integrity Act of 1757.

The following articles of the act are quoted below,

SECTION I:

On the Placement of Posters

  1. Campaign posters are not allowed to be placed on any government property in any province or territory of the Empire.
  2. Campaign posters are not allowed on any property of the Church baring dispensation of local clerical authorities.
  3. Campaign posters are ONLY allowed to be placed on private property, ONLY IF the owner of the property consents to it. This consent shall be had in a written form.

SECTION II:

Trial and Punishment

  1. If evidence exists that a candidate or his member of their campaign breached these articles, the candidate shall be called to trial.
  2. If evidence exists that an individual was found placing campaign posters in an attempt to undermine another campaign, they shall be called to trial.
  3. If found guilty, the crime shall count as a Class E infraction of the Third Degree as per the Imperial Lawbook.

Below is an artist representation of the current use of heralds as done by Karl Amador and subsequent supporters,

MOTION TO RECUSE

TO THE SUPREME COURT,

The party of the prosecutor wishes to request a motion of recuse for Mr. F. Vanir on the following principles,

  • Due to the connection of this case with the current Haense Senatorial Election of 1762, any member of the Haeseni electorate (which includes Mr. F. Vanir) could have a potential conflict of interest pertaining to this case,
  • Also, Mr. F. Vanir (who belongs to the Vanir family) has blood and political connections with the defendant party’s family (the Amador family) which could lead to a potential conflict of interest pertaining to this case.

The party of the prosecutor wishes to request a judge outside of the electorate of Haense and without familial connections with the defendant’s party.

 “I don’t think any Vanir’s have even married a Amador.... “ Rennard would give a sigh as he sits in his office, going and bringing out a cigar from his box as he goes litting it taking some deep puffs before talking to himself  “I believe this man is just off his rocker..” mumbling to himself

Angelika shook her head as she read the case. ”First Lord Amador is wrongfully accused based on the principles of twisted laws and then my uncle is denied his offer to judge the trial? The prosecution is foolish and clearly taking such an issue to court for their own political success. It is a shame politics have fallen to such corruption.”

Such a seemingly emotional man couldn’t possibly be nominated judge?” the Carnatian would lean over the railing, watching the ongoing Senate session “Bah, democracy wills it I suppose.”
