Tatyana’s Beliefs:

At the young age of 16, Tatyana has already proven herself to be an excellent candidate for Maer. Achievements such as holding and organizing the Reznian games, holding a position as steward since the age of fourteen, pursuing a career in healthcare, and standing as a General in the group by the name of the “Andrik Youth”, she has proven wisdom and knowledge beyond her years and hopes that her tenure as maer will only further this. The ultimate goal of this campaign will be to increase activity within the city by pushing out events, making jobs more available, and ensuring basic resources are available for use by all citizens.

Tatyana’s stance on significant topics:

*Although some topics may not be under the Maer’s jurisdiction, the elected Maer is given a seat on the duma, so it is important to take their beliefs and political stance on topics*

Military: The military organizations of haense are critical to the success and safety of the Kingdom as a whole. Soldiers are entitled to receive food, lodging, and payment in return for their services. The ultimate purpose of the military is to ensure a safe and secure city, free of worry for the population who reside here, as well as to fight in the King’s name when conflict arises.

Healthcare: Health workers fight for the safety and wellbeing of the Kingdom’s inhabitants regardless of the strain and danger they might put themselves in to do so. These people deserve respect, and all the same benefits of a military soldier. They should be entitled to lodging, food, and payment from the crown in return for the hard work that they put in for our community.

Taxation: Taxation is essential to maintain balance within the Kingdom. We must be able to pay the guard and health team, as well as other government officials who must pay to organize activities, architects, etc. The extent of the price of taxation can be determined by the prevalence of the homeless population and unpaid taxes.

Drug and Substance use: Alcohol has been used recreationally for many years, and those who choose to drink should be entitled to do so, as long as they are considered adults by our community. Prescribed drugs are of importance to members of our society with acute and chronic illnesses, but they must be mindful that some drugs may alter mind states. Citizens abusing drugs and/or alcohol must be held accountable for their actions regardless of intoxication.

Education: Children are entitled to free education in order to provide them with a gateway to a successful future. A city of well-educated adults is a successful one. Adults, who have not already,  may also pursue education. Whether or not adults must pay to pursue education is under jurisdiction of the crown and the headmaster of the academy.

Unemployment and Poverty: People should be aware of jobs that are readily available to them and how to go about attaining one. Public advertisement of available jobs will ensure proper accessibility to our citizens and allow them to select a career path to go down.

Recreation: People deserve to be able to entertain themselves in our city through the implementation of activity areas and events. It is of utmost importance to keep our citizenry entertained and active in the happenings of the city.

Religion: Religion should remain prevalent in our city and the daily life of our citizens. Regular masses should be held, and church presence should be encouraged at events and gatherings.

Ideas in the works:

What is already in the works?:

Building Houses with the High Steward - The High Steward and I have already discussed plans that can be made to increase housing availability to ensure that people in our city have shelter during the current housing crisis.

Reznian Games - An ultimate tournament of sport available to every faction in the world has already been organized and will be happening within the Saint’s week.

Events:

Haeseni Chess tournament - Following a specially designed outline as to not make the tournament too long, participants will compete in the largest game of Haeseni chess held to date.

Reznian fair - Games such as bobbing for apples, ice toss, pig races, fishing contests, and scavenger hunts will be organized throughout one day. People can purchase tickets to participate in these games.

Game night at the tavern - Each week, a day will be designated to hosting a game night in the basement of the tavern. There will be a small entry fee, and the participants will compete to earn the money made at the door.

Goals by the end of the Term:

Job board - I will create a job board where businesses can post to acquire workers and people can submit applications directly to management.

Repurposing the Maer’s Council - I would like to alter the newly formed council to be more event focused. With a team of people, implementation and execution of events can run more smoothly and occur more often.

Public Farms - I will implement public farms to ensure that our population remains well-fed and does not need to steal from privately owned farms. A more readily-available public farm than the ones found in Cloud Temple and Helena.

Furthering Education - I plan to speak with the Headmaster of the Academy about implementing classes to teach young children essential life-skills like reading, writing, math, etc.

Abolish the Bursar title again - C’mon, why do we need this?
