It has come to Our attention that the Principality of Rubern has undergone further renovations and revitalization. This is not acceptable. The rogue state has for years committed atrocities against the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska, the Holy Orenian Empire, and against GOD. Innocent lives have been lost at the hands of the Ruberni, and no attempt at peace or reconciliation has been made by the hostile party. 

 

We hereby list the following grievances against Our Kingdom and people, 

 

• The Principality of Rubern is still in an open state of war against the Holy Orenian Empire, and consequently, the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska. No treaties nor armistices have been signed between the two since the commencing of conflicts, the Ruberni unwilling to relent in their warmongering ways.

 

• The Principality of Rubern and all Ruberni are currently Excommunicated and declared Anathema, excluded from the Holy Communion and barred from the Seven Skies. Outside of the mercy of GOD, neither shall we grant them mercy of Man.

 

• The Principality of Rubern broke the Renetian-Haeseni Peace Accords, the stipulations of which duly return their former lands back under the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska.

 

• The male line of Vladrick Barbanov-Alimar is deceased and its continuity is declared illegitimate, reverting the titles and landings to Godfric Alimar as Patriarch of House Barbanov-Alimar and the rightful heir.

 

• The current Princess of Rubern, Helene Stiboricz, is nothing more than the bastard of Prince Marius of Rubern and a Nordling tavern wench. Meaning that due to the nonexistence of any would-be legitimate line, their titles and landings are reverted to Godfric Alimar as Patriarch of House Barbanov-Alimar and the rightful heir.

 

• Rubern’s strife and aggression led to an unjust war led by the AIS which saw the murder of innocents including:

  • HRH Alexandria Ceceliya Barbanov, an nine year old child murdered without ransom,

  • Sir Tiber Barrow, Imperial General and Lord Regent of Hanseti-Ruska, 

 

• Kin-slaying of the highest degree;

• Princess Alexandria Ceciliya Barbanov was kidnapped outside of New Reza at the age of nine, unarmed and gathering snow. She was taken back and stuck in a cage outside of Rubern, where she was teased for hours, before being stabbed to death repeatedly on a public stage in the presence of all to see. Neither her father nor her elder brother were ever offered a ransom.

 

• Issak Vyronov was captured outside of New Reza at the young age of twenty, where he was returning to visit his kinsmen. The young squire was brutalized and hung, his body would return years subsequently with multiple bruises and burn marks. The Ruberni took no liberty in giving the Vyronov a peaceful end.

 

• The kidnapping Lorena Antonia Helena, and Her Imperial Majesty, Empress-Consort Lorena Christena Cascadia.

 

• The leadership of Rubern stems their claim from a false princess, a daughter of Vladrick. Vladrick has lost the claim due to his rebellion and therefore the succession is illegitimate. 

 

• The destruction of the Royal Crownlands of Hanseti-Ruska, in their bid for unlawful raiding. 

 

• The settlers of Rubern have not sought forgiveness and penance for their crimes against Hanseti-Ruska and the Empire, demonstrating their unwillingness to rectify the mistakes of their predecessors from which they claim legitimacy.

 

With these grievances in mind, We reiterate the policy of this Kingdom: Rubern must be destroyed. Let all Ruberni be warned.

Helene Stiboricz’s gaze goes to her parent’s wedding rings, one of her father’s last gifts to her before he passed on. A small frown replaces her oft seen placid smile. ”It makes no sense, to call me a bastard, my parents were married and quite in love. Nor was she a nordling tavern wench....rest well mother, father.
