My fellow Haeseni,

These are times of great strife. Where used to stand great stone castles dedicated to Haense peerage, bustling with good Canonist Highlanders, now serve as footholds of evil for the Scyfling Scourge. These were places where many families led happy, full lives, who now find themselves broken and shattered among the seemingly impossible to avoid onslaught.

Whereas it may be true that we as a nation have found ourselves sometimes evenly matched, and sometimes even overwhelmed by the Scyfling invaders, we are far from lost. The heroes of Vasiland, Fort Buck and Valwyck, who gave their lives defending our people, will not have perished in vain.

Thus it is the duty of every proud Haeseni man and woman, to provide for the common defense of our people. Whether it be fighting the pagans directly under the command of our gallant Lord Marshal Barclay, or watching over and maintaining the homestead in their absence, every effort is necessary.

Only together can we overcome this dangerous peril we find ourselves in today, only together can we give meaning to the lives of those brave men and women who have fallen in our stead. Together, we will fight them with the combined strength of the Royal Army, the Hounds, and the peerage of His Majesty. Together, we will struggle in grueling defense of our motherland, every castle, every road, every port and every fort will prove increasingly more difficult for the pagans to capture from our holy grasp. Only together can this be achieved. We would have perished had we not persisted!
