auLune 400 Share Posted July 23, 2020 ____ IMPERIAL UNITY PARADE The 17th of Godfrey’s Triumph (( Friday, July 24th )) ((4 PM EST)) Citizens, peers, and allies of Oren—during these dark and troubling times where unworldly demons gnaw at the fringes of the Empire, we invite you all to attend a glorious parade conducted by the renowned Imperial State Army. The Imperial Unity Parade will be held in honour of those who serve the Empire selflessly and with valor, as well as those loyal citizens who continue to support them in their righteous cause. We shall recognize those who have contributed the most to our state and cherish those who have dedicated themselves to the ISA and to the Imperial Crown. The parade will take place within the city walls, in front of Varoche Hall, at which time His Imperial Excellency, Secretary of War Alren DeNurem, will deliver an address in order to shed light on recent events regarding the war against enemies both known and unknown. In addition, Archchancellor Simon Basrid will be in attendance as a guest speaker. HIM Peter III himself is expected to attend, and may bestow knighthoods or peerages to those who have demonstrated steadfast devotion and leal service to the tapestry of Man. Patriotic citizens who attend will be encouraged to stop by an official on-site recruitment booth, where they can readily enlist in His Imperial Majesty’s forces. All able-bodied citizens and allies in good standing with the law are encouraged to enlist, fight for the glory of Oren, and become eligible for the benefits of an Imperial soldier. In this age of strife and uncertainty, our duty to Mankind and our Imperial sovereign remains paramount. Despite the war we wage against a cowardly and selfish creature in the South, a new front is quickly making itself known. All citizens are called upon to fulfill this duty and aid in holding up the legacy of Exalted Horen, the prophets, and the Imperial state. May God bless our brave soldiers and their struggle against the heathen coalition, and the demons who rain hellfire on us all, may we one day see peace and unity restored to all of humanity and the world. He stops and gives it an appreciative nod, then smiles under his prodigious moustache. ”CAPITAL! An excellent show of solidarity, this is. A good parade keeps the people’s confidence in us.” The cheery officer then goes back to his patrol, whistling the tune of an Orenian marching song and looking forward to fighting alongside the HRA in their next bandit-slaying session. He would periodically peer down, inspecting the delicate and ornate engraving. The names of each heroic comrade who have brought glory and honor to the Empire. His careful review would be interrupted by a nascent Ensign with a stack of documents in hand. “Well done comrade, place them on my desk and I shall review them in time.” Alren would nearly mutter as his eyes remained fixed on the assortment of medals. “As well, check in with the Lieutenant regarding the civilian honors. For those who cannot commit their bodies to war are still worthy contributors to the war effort. We will be better, we will be stronger and we will grow further in every new year. Those savages who tries to hinder this growth by taking arms against this great empire will perish on the battlefields. They will become one with the ground beneath ourselves. But make no mistake. This efforts are not the efforts of one man or one group. Every single citizen of empire works for this glorious achievement and they have to be heard. They have to be recognised for their struggles. With this beautiful parade, we will honor those who worked behind the walls. Let’s not forget our brethren in haense aswell. They have been fighting with us shoulder to shoulder. All of our dreams may come true if we work hard and work together to achieve them. But achieving our dreams isn’t enough. We have to go beyond our dreams and limits. Many people limits themselves to what they think they can do but we have to remember, together we can achieve much more than anyone alone. Even though we may struggle on the road, we can make mistakes. We are only human and making mistakes is the reason we go beyond. Trying hard and trying new things in every single aspect of our lives would bring new experiences. Also we should not listen to those who can’t believe. If people are doubting how far we can go, we need to go so far that we can’t hear them anymore.” Takes a very long breath and continues ”I am not a big man or a great man but I am a faithful man. I believe in GOD, I believe in Empire and I believe in Emperor. Because of that I will stay true in my path and work hard. It doesn’t matter if I were a soldier or a miner or a tradesman or just a simple fisher. I would do my job so good that no one would deny my hard work. We should not be afraid against the future. We should march forward with our visions and ambitions. Even though we stumble on the road we have to believe in the road we are taking and stay true to it. No one can change our situation but ourselves as well as no one is to blame for our situation but ourselves. We have to invest in our own future, work hard and continue doing what we are doing in the best way to become better. I believe this parade will become a beacon for those who are doubting the road we are taking and it will help the empire.” Takes another deep breath and drinks water to squench his thirst. “Even His Imperial Majesty Peter III being there would encourage people. I support these kinds of public events. It helps to build reliable relations between military personnel and civilians. Civilians needs to know they can trust us and we need to believe in ourselves to protect them to our best capabilities. To achieve the best as I said we need to work hard.” Stops for a brief moment to look around.
