Spoiler

[Yes, I wrote lore for Beyblades.]

The game of Bottezk Zvaerdz

Bottezk Zvaerdz is a game originating from the lands of Hanseti-Ruska. Using wooden tops created intentionally for this entertaining battle game, competitors release their tops in the wooden Bottezk Zvaerd arena to test who the strongest player in the realm is! This game can be played by 2+ players, although standard-sized stadiums will become rather crowded at around 8 competitors.

Rules of the Game

  • I. To begin the round, the competitors must count down from three and declare “Zvas supae vy!” (or “Let it rip!” in common) and release their tops into the arena at the same time.
  • II. The tops in the wooden arena will battle until one is knocked out of the arena, or falls. If both fall at the same time, the round will be called a tie.
  • III. The last to remain spinning in the arena will be named the victor of the round. If the victor’s opponent fell, the victor receives +1 point. If the victor’s opponent was knocked out of the arena, the victor received +2 points.
  • IV. The first to reach 10 points wins the game.
  • V. If playing with more than two players, add 5 points to the end goal for each extra person.
  • VI. Even when playing with more than two players, only one top may remain standing at the end for points to be awarded.
  • VII. When playing with more than two players, you may earn points for every top that was knocked out or knocked down.

[OOC Rules]

  • I. [Each player rolls out of 20 when the round starts.
  • II. The player with the highest roll wins the round.
  • III. A player who is beaten by more than 10 in a roll is knocked out of the arena. If the difference is less than 10, they are only knocked down. This applies regardless of the number of players.]

Zvaerdz are simple wooden battling tops designed for the game of Bottezk Zvaerdz. The average Zvaerd weighs approximately 3oz and is carved from solid wood into a heavy-duty spinning top. Official Zvaerdz have detailed engravings upon the top, otherwise known as facepieces. Official Zvaerdz may be purchased from the Roger & Co. shop. The shop currently offers Golden Crow Zvaerdz, HRA Zvaerdz, (LE) Koeng Josef Zvaerdz, (LE) Koenas Isabel Zvaerdz, and (LE) Lord Manfred Zvaerdz. Zvaerdz can be made by one’s self; however, size and weight may be inconsistent.

The Bottezk Zvaerdz arenas consist of large, shallow wooden battle stadiums, which resemble oversized serving bowls. The interior wood should be sanded smooth for maximum spin. These can be found in various locations around New Reza, or easily carved on one's own.
