A dead body has been found - her hair a light nut-brown, her eyes grey as a foggy day. She was tall, with a pale face and gaunt features. Minerva had a swift end, caused by a stranger’s hand. She had spent her last few years as a fugitive, which made her demise all the more predictable.

Somewhere nearby, a tall cloaked figure stood, glancing over the de Selm’s dead body. They gazed upon the dead body for some time before swiftly turning about and departing

The body itself was found by shepherds, days after her initial death, laying in grassland somewhere behind the city of Providence. Slowly decaying, still and so silent. She laid there, almost looking as though she was sleeping, if it were not for the sickly pale skin, the insects that feel themselves attracted to the decaying flesh or the worried cattle around her - left to all weathers.

((OOC: thanks to everyone who made her journey special. I'll rlly miss her 😐

Lady Basrid sat in a large empty room filled with papers, books, and other nonsense. Using her lap as a table, the woman scribbled intensely into her journal which she has kept after her dear friend Thea died. As she reached up her quill to dip it into the bottle of indigo ink, a knock at the door came. Raising her head to see a maid enter, a scared look upon her face. "Ma'am" the younger girl would mutter, "Lady Minerva has passed away."

Blankly, Safiye set down her quill as she simply nodded to the maid who quickly left. Taking out a hankie to dap at her eyes which seemed to start to swell and standing from her seat. The middle aged woman walked towards the windows of the large room, opening them to let the heat of Ba'as dry her tears. Gripping onto her journal she could not but wonder where she had went wrong with Minerva. Where had they separated. How would Theresa ever be able to forgive her for letting her daughter die.

Flipping through the pages of her journal to the beginning, crossing out yet another name of someone she loved. The list seemed to only get shorter with her years. Minerva was to Safiye, her first born. Perhaps they were not blood related but it always seemed as such to the withering woman.

Tears fell down Victoria Anne's cheeks as the news reached her. She felt a gut wrenching pain as she recalled bickering with her aunt as a child. The two were so similar, Victoria saw Minerva as a rival, opposed to a friend. Now, she regretted the lack of time she spent with her aunt; time that she would never get to spend. "You were brave, Minerva. Heroic, even," she murmured to herself between sniffles and with a shaky voice. "I'm sorry about my sister. She had it coming."

Manfried Cardinal St. Julia would be informed a few days after Minerva's death. He would pray for a friend that night, that she would ascend to the Seven Skies and proceeded to prepare things for a funeral the next day. "May she find peace, absolved of sin and cleansed of error in the Seven Skies."

Upon receiving news of his wife's killing, Fyodor slumped back into his chair, setting the missive down upon the end table beside himself. He pressed a hand to his forehead, letting out a saddened sigh. After a long night of grief and without rest, Fyodor began to send out letters to his family, preparing for the funeral. "My dearest wife, taken from me too soon."
