Jokinghills 825 Share Posted April 2, 2021 News Release on the Excavation of Sedan An Atrocity Uncovered [!] An informational missive is published for the Orenian population, posted at the Bastion in Providence & sent through typical channels to the towns of the Empire. The following is an unaltered, official report written and delivered by an Army engineering team tasked with tending to the remnants of Sedan. Report from the engineers at Sedan: Before the living remnants of the rebels in Sedan fled the Empire’s borders to preserve their lives, they razed their fortified manor as a token of spite against their countrymen. A small unit of State Army engineers was afterwards tasked with clearing the veritable heap of rubble and salvaging anything useful. After a few months, the workers would find horror at the bottom of the charred ruins. Nearly three-dozen women and children had been crushed and burnt in the rebels’ razing of Sedan, their skeletal remains left behind by the fleeing men. It was known that the rebels fled in a hurry to escape imminent besiegement, but not so terribly rushed that they would leave their wives and children behind. The innocents’ remains were determined to be unarranged and no injuries from weapons could be found, meaning the victims had still been alive when the rebels sealed the manor and set it alight. None of the women were found to retain any gold or jewelry besides subtle earrings and bracelets, meaning they were either among the less fortunate, or they were robbed by the rebel men before the escape. With this information corroborated by further context, it is clear that the men of Sedan indirectly, but purposefully, murdered at least thirty-four of their own women and children. Most of the larger skeletons, identified as unknown women, were found shielding the remains of the children until their tragic death. Their Canonist bravery and fidelity is noted, especially juxtaposed against the actions of the men who betrayed and killed them to escape justice. Their remains have been safely and respectfully buried as of the writing of this report. It is a shame the Imperial State Army could not act a day faster to save the lives of these innocents. - First Regiment, First Brigade, Engineering Detachment The troopers involved have been questioned in martial court, lending their testimonies to this horrible atrocity. The rebels’ wicked and atrocious behavior lends to the verifiability of this tragedy. Sadly, those who would call on foreign legions to assault our country would have no qualms with murdering their own wives, children, and countrymen. The Rt Hon. The Lord Darkwood KL Lt. Colonel of the Imperial State Army

Returning a horrified gasp “All men are cowards, I refuse to believe other wise!” Thereafter with a huff, the woman pushed the paper away with disgust, going about her day. Tulan 443 Share Posted April 2, 2021 "Perhaps it would have been more credible from a neutral party, no one but the Goats know what truly happened in Sedan. You can question them when they're rounded up." Gregory Bazin shook his head and lifted a glass of ale to his mouth, sating his thirst at the tavern after a patrol through the streets of Haense. Lickspittle 695 Share Posted April 2, 2021 "Oh, maybe they're the imperials I accidentally killed that one day in Providence!" Caelan Jrent comments, recalling the day the "Goats of Sedan" failed to capture an imperial princess. "Wonder how they got all the way to Sedan, seeing as no Imperials ever tried to raid us." he'd shrug the missive off, and go try and find which Goat with the intelligence of an ISA recruit left a small portion of imperial casualties exposed."Also, why are there no remains of men? I thought we buried one donned in full ISA armor..."
