On The Hypocrisy of Norland

[!] A series of missives would be pinned about Providence, as well as many of the towns that dot the Holy Orenian Empire.

 

 

    Countrymen, Imperials, visitors from other nations. In the last few months the Norlander's have published a number of statements condemning our treatment of the civilians of Elysium. As the Emperor has stated himself, none of those killed in that raid upon the village were killed without weapon in hand. These claims of torture and abuse are naught but malicious lies, as Norland continues to try and feebly sow dissent and discontent amongst our friends and neighbours.  Evermore Norland will look outwards rather than inwards, as there are already rumours of infighting within that damned nation. However- that was not the purpose of this missive.. this missive was to inform what most of you should already know. That the Norlanders are hypocrites, they are vermin who seek to plant themselves where they are unwanted, as vermin do. Norland complains about our killing of people who bore arms against us, even when we peacefully requested that the civilians surrender their weapons. We promised them if they did such, no harm would come to them. They simply confirmed what we already presumed to be true, that they are all barbarians. They complain of such yet employed and signed a contract with the Ferrymen, a group who has been known to bandit civilians on the roads during times of peace. A group of men who raid and plunder wherever they please. This group is not just the enemy of Oren, they are enemies of the Elves, of the pious Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska, of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, yet the Norlanders- always plotting and scheming like the villains they are- saw fit to employ them anyways. Continue ever onwards with the delivering of propaganda, Sven Edvardsson, for the day is coming where you will kneel before our most Holy Emperor.

A caramel haired women stood on top a hill, as wind whipped at her figure violently. She held the missive out with both hands, before tearing it in two. Releasing it to the wild winds. As she turned around, she recalled her talks with the now queen mother of Norland. Her lips thinning, how could a place claim to be pure and claim to want peace, but continue to start useless wars? And spread lies about her home? Was all she was lead to believe lies?
