RESISTANCE AGAINST WHO?

This is not new, we have been through this before, many have tried to take on the Empire, many have failed, one more has failed. This pathetic, measly, weak “Resistance” against Oren, though they aren’t Orenian, and no resisting has been done, has crumbled and faded into history, not with the glorious trumpets of time, but with the whimper of a dog, into the sunset. 

 

These barbarians have marauded our lands, killed our people, kidnapped the pontiff and murdered our clergymen. Cowering behind the apostate state of Norland, not hearing a word from them, as they fade into nothing.

 

Let them be an example to all who target the innocent and prey upon the weak. We will not stop until you are beaten, demoralized, crumbled into a dust of which you will never return from. These heathens first murdered bishops and priests, then targeted the Holy Pontiff. Then they had the audacity to try to burn our streets and cities down. Such a plan was foiled by the brave men and women of the Imperial Secret Service, the Imperial Constabulary, and the Imperial State Army. Their leader Ser Gustavsen hides in Norland, afraid to come out of his home. Forever hunted, for his crimes against Oren, his crimes against Man, and his crimes against GOD.

 

Once again we have beaten our enemies and Secured a peaceful future for our children. Free from the terrorist barbarians that is the Resistance.

I am quite sure that the Resistance would have spread flyers and claim the murder upon His Holiness Jude II. In which case; they did not do it, for now. However, I do not see any connection to this murder with a politically rebel group who have nothing against our Church whatsoever as I was a witness of them getting along with fellow Canonists in Sedan. It would be hypocrite for them to murder a very important person of our Holy Church. But of course, there has been news of them being guilty for the murder of Cardinal Francisco, which is already hypocrisy by itself as they lived under the wing of a Canonist principality for the time being. It also seems rather sudden for one to bring up this case after the kidnap-incident was done weeks before the death of his Holiness Jude II.

 

Our clergy has been threatened by one of Oren's men, the man who saved my life when I was chased by a Qalasheen Berserker. It is a shame to see a man who protected men of God, suddenly turn his back upon what we are doing for God and the Church's future, which brings me to the next point.

 

During all those wars; Oren has claimed to be a nation who base themselves off of Canonist values.. but may one explain to me;

 

• What has happened to the citizens of Elysium? For they could have been saved since the Imperial State Army are professionally trained soldiers?
• If the Imperial State Army was indeed so Canonist, why would they first strike the blade and then talk? Instead of doing it reversed?
• Why kill instead of convert and allow the ones who have not discovered God yet to find his path?

 

I must admit, we find ourselves in a very difficult situation in which things are going back and forth, but to imagine a man who has said to be a devout Canonist and loyal to the clergy and eventually turns his back upon us.. is out of the question a very.. and very confused man. Yet they have the nerve to call others heretics.

 

I have sent personal letters to those fighting in the war in Norland to spare those who surrender, but obviously the Empire would do otherwise. They would rather slit throats then giving the common-folk a chance to discover God. I must say that I am.. very disappointed in the ones who have done these horrific acts in war.

 

For God is your only Superior, not the mortal. May God have mercy upon the souls that have left their forms in these acts.

"Father Basil, you have seem to be mistaken let me help clear this up. We cannot confirm as of now that the Resistance is behind the murder of Jude II. However we know that they are behind the kidnaping of Jude II in Osanora, this report does not accuse them of murdering Jude II, this report documents their crimes that are confirmed. "As I said to the good Father Basil, this report is not connected to the murder of Jude II, the resistance has not been confirmed as to having ties. Rather about the murder of a Bishop and kidnapping of the pontiff Jude II in Osanora now as for your accusations that you have levied against Oren. To Mister Darkwood,

It has come to our attention that you wish to accuse us of associating with the Resistance against Oren, and their leader, Gustaven. While this rhetoric is not new by any means, it is absolutely foolish that you continue to spout it despite the evidence that you've been shown and our public response to these previous allegations. I will specifically send a copy of our response which you will find attached alongside this letter. If you are capable of reading, you will notice how we have declared our willingness to assist in the capture of all Resistance members, including their leader, Ser Gustaven, who willingly involve themselves in the attacks of vulnerable individuals, including those who are injured and religious, as well as the attacks on Canonist churches.

 

Instead of proclaiming the already known crimes of the Resistance but instead coating it with already disproven lies, why don't you assist in something meaningful such as the investigation into the assassination of High Pontiff Jude II? While the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska began their investigation right from the beginning, the 'Holy Orenian Empire', who seemingly prides themselves on their faith, really seem to be avoiding conducting an investigation into these matters. Perhaps this avoidance is to not let anyone find the truth? After all, we've been informed that the woman who dragged the High Pontiff's body out of Providence was let out by whomever was on gate duty. It only seems right to presume that whoever assassinated the High Pontiff was associated with the Imperial government as well.

 

I would also like to note how odd this announcement is as it comes from an agent of the Imperial Secret Service. If anyone had a role in the murder of the High Pontiff, it would be an agent of the Secret Service, it is not only hilarious but predictable that an agent of the Secret Service is trying to distract their citizenry with smoke and mirrors. It would be wise for you to admit your guilt sooner rather than later. When the investigation inevitably shows that the Orenian government is responsible, there will be no peace.

Boreal, the perpetual outsider looking in, listened to father Moroul's ravings, they sigh, turning to read over the missive, prayer did not help , attempting to aid as they could did not make a dent in the dragon that is war, they watched this conflict, they saw a man that they had met hours prior be brutalized, they had watched the political squabble, they heard the shrills coming from broken homes where mothers did not see their sons, this was war. There was no blaze of glory, all they witnessed was those closest to them be ripped out of their grasp, only to pave a street in blood and ashes

Garret Darkwood laughs uncontrollably at the letter  to the point of tears "These apostates think I am incapable of reading yet refuse to read themselves! I never said that the Resistance was behind the Pontiffs murder. Perhaps they should read next time, oh and the audacity to think that the Secret Service killed the pontiff is next level, and I ordered the halt of all low level investigations and threw every resource the IBI had into investigating the pontiffs tragic murder. The actual holy knight known as Adelith, sitting within the Elysium tavern, simply smiles as she hears the Orenian complain about there being nothing holy in Norland. "Its strange to me." She'd muse. "How they call their knights holy...yet they've not done anything of note against anything dark, to my knowledge." She then awaits someone else to somehow overhear her speak, as she had done to Garret prior to her return to Elysium.

Arthas would snicker as he mind-reads the unintelligent Garret Darkwood. He would laugh as he did not accuse the MoJ for accusing the Resistance for the murder of the High Pontiff, he accused the MoJ of accusing Norland for associating with the Resistance, something that has already been disproven. It is extra clear that the Darkwood is unable to read. Little does the Kingdom of Orenia know, the Kingdom of Norland is so interested in justice that upon hearing the news of the High Pontiff's assassination, that they offered their immediate assistance to the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska and even visited them in their palace to help. Arthas would wonder if Oren did such a thing.

 

He would also smirk at the Imperial fearmongering, for Norland were not the ones who threatened the slaughter of innocents if they did not displace themselves from their homes. Norland also weren't the ones to massacre non-combatant civilians and attempted to burn down the same village they massacred. Yet it is the pagan Nordlings that obviously want to kill innocent women and children, it wouldn't be any other way for the Imperials are innocent... as always.
