A Dragon Takes Flight

To my fellow citizens, 

 

Our Jade State has grown from a small district to the nation we all cherish and are proud of today. It is through the hard work and innovative thinking of citizens such as the great statesmen and stateswomen who have come before me and are my contemporaries, as well as their service and loyalty of the citizens of Yong Ping that our homeland has grown and evolved into a place of peace, prosperity and security for those who call the Jade State their home.

 

Throughout the history of our nation, be it our beginning, or our current years, Yong Ping has been protected by the shield and sword of the Twin Dragon, with each head being a loyal servant and protector of the Jade State and her citizens. However, with the recent resignation of our second Zhu Tianrui Ren, the second era of the Twin Dragon comes to its end and with it our nation loses one of its greatest.

 

Though as it always has been and always shall be, as one of the two heads of the Twin Dragon lays downward, a new head arises to serve and protect the citizens of the Jade State of Yong Ping. It is with the aforementioned in recognition, that I humbly accept the recommendation by our former Zhu, Tianrui Ren, to serve the people of our nation and to continue my service to them that I have done not only as Chancellor but before that as Duhu and to henceforth with the council’s recognition as the successor of our former Zhu, Tianrui Ren. 

 

It shall be, as always has been, my dearest goal as your humble servant to place not only the security, prosperity and stability of our Nation at my heart, but to also ensure that the Twin Dragon stands between the citizens of Yong Ping and any threat of both external and internal nature. Just as during my time as Duhu and Chancellor, I shall serve the people of Yong Ping in order to keep peace and safety as words which define us, as words over which our ancestors shall be greatly proud. 

 

I hence say to the citizens of our Nation, as I say to those who shall serve the people of Yong Ping as I shall: I bear nothing to offer but blood, sweat, and honor. No Mud, No Lotus.

Tianrui Ren is proud to see his son who has grown so much to take up the mantle, though he wonders why Ryu refers to him as lost. He shall have to have a word later to make sure that he does not think his father dying or leaving otherwise.

Yunya of the Chen Household glanced the missive over, wondering what changes might be instated under their next Zhu. Nonetheless, she continued with her work as Minister of Interior and the current project at hand.
