THE MARIAN RECKONING OF HONK In the years that followed the fall of King Sigismund III, the Marian Order has been improperly maintained with various knights having found difficulty in the maintenance of their oaths. As then did a king pass, so too did the previous oaths to the king. It is therefore the case that we now seek to find knights that are worthy of their protection to the Crown with challenges greater than before so to prove themselves the most pious, chivalrous, and strong. Honk of Sindhor did arrive to King Karl III as he placed his fathers urn into the crypt of kings, praying fervently at the final resting place. There, Honk did swear to further assist the young king in both arms as well as education. With great magnificence; Honk proved himself able to take on the initial squirings to be a Marian squire before becoming a knight. With the king’s approval, he now moves to undertake the reckoning of Marian to prove himself sufficiently able to be a Marian Knight. The Missions of Honk The Crown hath heard of a beast of repute, a descendant of the beast of Fryskland and Jylig, in the frozen mountains of the North that seeks to bring destruction upon our kingdom. This beast, a drake, prowls in search of wandering adventurers, shepherds and citizens within the plains of our kingdom when it descends from the mountains in search of prey. It is therefore that the Crown dispatches Honk in the aim of defeating this creature. The Crown does desire a man who is pious in the ways of Canonism, and does therefore ask the aspirant to seek a pilgrimage to the four shrines of each Haeseni saint at the four corners of Hanseti-Ruska and offering prayer at the four, before continuing along to meet with the Patriarch of Jorenus to discuss matters of faith. The Crown does desire a new pelt as the creatures of the hunt hath grown fat with the warmth of the summers before the autumns and winters that followed. It is therefore the wish of the Crown that Honk does go to the forests of the Attenlund to find a wolf of great magnitude to hunt. After such has been found and killed, the aim will be to turn the pelt into an impressive cape to drape the young king.
