THE PONTIFF'S PRAYER AND THANKS

Upon entering the Royal Court, the King was accompanied by His Holiness, Tylos III, to lead a prayer of thanks to the all the Haeseni of past and present for their efforts in upholding and bettering the nation. All customarily bowed their heads, and for a moment all was quiet before a mechanical monkey and lector arrived asking for a personal meeting with His Holiness. After such was settled, the prayer began and was recorded:

"O Lord Godan Above, we thank and praise you for the efforts that the prosperity and liveliness that this kingdom's subjects relish in,through your efforts. It is through your mercy that the Haeseni be the best that we can be with the inspiration you provide. It is thisinspiration that allowed so many of your faithful flock to rise, from Palatines, to members of the court, to our citizens, Duma members, and the soldiers that follow your most blessed subject, Saint Karl. All have made efforts for our victory over those misguided who wished our collapse. We have had some failures, as all have and by God we shall continue, but so long as we are moving forward inyour light and guidance, there is not one impossibility we shall face, for your glory is eternal, as is the glory of the kingdom and it's people.

Amen."

CONTROVERSY ADDRESSED

His Majesty firstly addressed the recent controversy raised by Grand Maer Vernhart, in which the Maer stated that members of the nobility and commonfolk alike had felt ostracized and cast out, additionally feeling unable to rise to any administrative position in his letter to the Duma.

Karl III swiftly responded, stating that it is the duty of the Crown to serve, not always to dictate, and thus, the ranks of government seeming both unreachable must be rectified. His Majesty intends to do so. The king does however, ask for patience and understanding. Only through continual conversation and reminding can efforts be done to achieve what was brought forward by the Maer and others in our kingdom.

“We can only work to repair such in time, for whilst it may be easy to blame predecessors, it is the duty of myself and my successors to solve these issues. Therefore, the buck should stop with me. Efforts must be made to rectify feelings of it feeling impossible to ascend.”

AN AULIC ELEVATION

Following the King’s initial address, a quick transition to a more jovial topic was made, in which Karl III stated that the Lady Palatine had reinstated the Office of the Justiciar, therefore revitalizing the position of High Justiciar subsequently. This Aulic position was then bestowed upon Lady Adele Ludovar, a woman whom the Crown deemed most suitable for the role within His Majesty’s government. Such has been deemed necessary now upon the necessity of finding the killer of Pyotr Ludovar, which has been done, as well as further law changes that the King does wish to bring about.

The people of Haense eagerly await to see what aspirations the Lady Ludovar holds for her newly acquired office.

“...Lady Ludovar. I call upon you to serve as my Lady Justiciar and to ensure our reforms are pushed forward in an orderly manner, whilst justice is also dealt out. Do you accept the Bulava of your position, and to find the murderers of our kingdom that have stolen several members of our society before their time?"

KNIGHTLY REFORMS AND KNIGHTHOODS

The Justiciar’s Office is not the only institution to see reform, as the Knight Paramount Ser Walton “The Wall” has since issued a series of reforms to Knighthood regarding the process in which one may obtain squirehood as well as the process of squirehood itself.

The King then proceeded to bestow knighthood upon two worthy individuals who had completed their final quest, Matyas Baruch and Barley Wick. The entirety of the Court rejoiced as these capable men joined the ranks of the Order of the Crow. Simultaneously did Jakob Morovar accept his final quest, so that he may join such ranks as his comrades Matyas and Barley did this day.

Evidently so, the future of the Crow Knights, under the guise of Paramount Ser Walton, seems bright.

A DEMONSTRATION OF MUSICALITY

Although brief, one Hamish Kortrevich provided a stunning performance of a music piece composed for the celebration of the Kingdom’s one hundred years of independence. The King’s Court was moved by the musicality that the young Kortrevich possessed, soon erupting into thunderous applause at the conclusion of his performance.

PETITIONS

To conclude the 439 E.S. session of Court, the King beckoned petitioners to the dais to air any grievances or petition the Crown. Fittingly, no grievances were aired this day.

The Grand Maer thanked the King for his willingness to hear his people and the Colborns swore fealty and provided gifts initially. Thereafter, Ser Grigori stepped down from the position as Deputy Palatine so that he could enjoy a more fulfilling retirement away from the heavy burden of leadership, whilst continuing in his role as treasurer and Marian Knight.

The Court came to a close soon after these notable petitions were made and a tournament soon commenced to continue the festivities which was then won by Ser Grigori Vyronov after a close battle between himself and Ser Flemius, thereafter he was named Grand Champion of Karosgrad.
