The situation in the Heartlands remains unresolved, and the table of negotiations has thus far failed to settle upon borders and meaningful peace for the peoples that occupy these lands. While the Acreans have been relocated to other lands, the issue of the removal causes the border shared between the Commonwealth of the Petra and the United Kingdom of Aaun to remain a source of much contention and tension.

 

The King of Aaun, and his Kingdom, shall not be displaced. However as it currently stands, the issue of land and the border tensions between the states of the Heartlands, will without doubt cause war in the future if it is not amended. 

 

Therefore, it is the wish of the Congress of Atrus to create a status quo, upon which a lasting peace can be built, so that our sons and their sons must not be forced to draw blades upon one another.

 

Throughout the passing years, the Baron of Cherskavy and his Levy has created much issue amongst the nations of the world, frequently attending to recruitment and violence within the lands of both Haense and Petra, yet the Alstion King has made no attempt to control this feral vassal of his, nor have they received justice for their actions. The King of Aaun must either hold his vassals accountable for their actions, or be held accountable himself.

 

War is not our ambition, we have made numerous attempts at peace. Let it be known that this is a declaration of WAR, but it is also an ultimatum for peace. We all are Canonists, and have no wish to kill one another, but a lasting position must be formed until whatever God forsaken creature arises from the deep and takes these lands. We go to war, but we urge you, Charles Alstion, seek peace as we have done. Do not listen to stubborn councilors or malignant frothing men to fight battles. 

 

The following list of grievances lay at the heart of the ongoing tension and conflict between the shared nations of the Congress of Atrus and the Kingdom of Aaun;

 

I. When the Kingdom of Haense and its allies sought to facilitate the peaceful cessation of our Acrean allies from a realm they no longer wished to be part of, our efforts were scorned, and yet we stayed our promised intervention to assist Acre.

 

II. When a man of Cherskavy tried to spill the blood of a Haeseni Knight and fled justice, our court was mocked when a dunce was sent to take the blame for this farce.

 

III. When we sought to leave the title of Adria to rest, not only did a lord of Aaun seek to game the Dumapalooza to secure the title for his home, but our wishes to forego the election and leave the title and all its consequent posturing and politics to rest, were rejected.

 

IV. You have actively attempted to sow continual dissent between King John of Balian and the Crown Prince Alexandros, in an attempt to alienate a father from his son.

 

V. While the Sons of Petra were constructing defenses and a new bridge, King Charles of Aaun, accompanied by five armored men on horseback, crossed over Petra’s border and proceeded to insult the men for their heritage and their work. They then charged into the square of Valfleur on horseback, intimidating the local citizenry and disturbing the peace before leaving.

 

VI. Aaunite soldiers patrolling and harassing the citizenry of the Commonwealth of Petra on a regular basis and furthermore disturbing the peace between the two Heartlander nations in which the threat of war between the two now in the future may come to pass.

 

VII. In addition to the matter regarding the Duchy of Adria, you have also falsely laid claim to the Duchy of Balamena, a title belonging to Thomas Balamena, and have further anointed a second born as the Viscount of Azor in a slight against the legitimate Countess of Azor, consistently slandering and sullying her honor throughout in a most unjust and despicable manner.

 

VIII. Despite claiming that they wish for peace, several reports have been uncovered that the Aaunite military has openly been planning a future invasion of Petra. These schemes do not reflect your frequent outward cries for a peaceful future.

Clearly he didn’t feel well at all, as he knew exactly who he would face on the opposite side of the frontlines “Louis, I hope you and your family will be safe… If there’s any miracle, I hope we do not face each other anytime soon.” Emir then folded the missive as he got up to prepare medical equipment and to train medics for the war as he instructed them and told them what he heard as he was young child once. “Remember to be kind, compassionate, and caring.
