The Koenas

The Queen of Haense, a leader of old

Her reign was oft-times troubled, stories we are told

They say she was an proud leader, nothing more

But her legacy is something that is still adored

A Queen of Haense, a woman of might

Built a palace in great majesty and height

The palace was built with the finest of care

For the Queen's court and her people to share

Queen of Haense, leader of the time

Brought a forest to life, a great feat sublime

Creating forests of deep and verdant green

A place of refuge for her people to be seen

Falling into Nothingness

In an evening of fools

What is here today is here tomorrow

What is here today is a brand new world.

All of the past was gone

All of the present is gone

Now the years are pushing cold

'Tis evening and never sleepin'

And the groom does his somerses in the day light

And if I could have you back

And the days are hours

My sweet desire would sway

The sand across the sea

The autumn moon

Should I call you

When the morning should find

These three words have come to me

Now the morning finds

These three words have come

Now the morning finds

These three words have come

I would watch the tears fall from your eyes

And I would search for you

Above the winters

Throughout the cosmos

Into the Evening

Frail as the wind, life is fleeting,

Watching our days from the dawn to the evening.

Wealth, fame and hopes all fading away,

It’s hard to keep our dreams in play.

As age takes its toll and wrinkles show,

We realize how fragile we all must grow.

Life is so short, we must make the most,

Accept that all beauty will eventually be lost.

So cling to the memories of all that you hold dear,

And make now lasting, because frailty is here.

When the end comes it’s too late to say sorry,

But here’s to life, fragile and yet so mighty.

When all else fails and the journey ends,

We’ll rise above this frailty and be friends.

Keep Away

I don't wanna be the one who gets told to go

Don't look at me and say I'm one you run from

Say you will stay when you don't have to

But if you want to go there's plenty of places

Where the sounds of a sunset and the sun

Echoes distant in my ears.

It's not the end of the road

There's no desire, it's still today

It's not the end of the road

No matter what you do it's all the same

It's not the end of the road

There's nothing to prove, it's still today.

If you want to go there's plenty of places

Greed is the Downfall

When you walk in, is anybody there?

When the morning comes

It's hard to hold us all

We're an impassioned soul

Driven by desire and greed

We’re our own destroyers.

Desire and greed

That's what makes us

Realize it's just one more horrid feat.

I've got nothin' but the streets I know.

I can't guarantee I'll see you,

When it is all said and done.

But it takes more than just givin' up

We're just beggars and canads.

All stretching our hands towards those

Are stretching their hands to us.

Castles Made of Glass

Castles made of glass, to you I write.

How I hate the way you crumble and break,

Invading my mind day and through the night,

Always dreaming about the cold namesake.

Let me compare you to a contender?

You are more temperate, deadly and brittle.

Bold frost nips the robins of December,

And wintertime has the old doolittle.

How do I hate you? Let me count the ways.

I hate your Cracked brick, see through and brittle.

Thinking of your cool see through fills my days.

My hate for you is the little littell.

Now I must away with a medley heart,

Remember my bleak words whilst we're apart.

Kingdoms Made of Stone

A kingdom strong through days of old

Does stand as mighty and bold.

For rule and law and peace it holds

As swords held high will never fold.

It stands as a knight in shining armor

Devoted to its people, ever secure.

The legends told of its gentle rule

Ringing in its ear with a dulcet lure.

From border to border, near and far

The kingdom renders it's shield of courage.

Safekeeping its citizens near and dear

Under its loyal laws it does battle rage.

From kings and queens of great decree

Leads the kingdom through times so tough.

Through admiration, courage and zeal

A strong kingdom does stand tall and proud.

Ancient castle walls and golden thrones,

Upholding the kingdom's best and worst.

A fortress built to shelter and protect

The people so loyal to it’s crest.

Men and women of every rank

Do make up the kingdom’s tapestry.

Nobles, commoners, and farmers too

Like threads weaving a history.

Brave knights and brave soldiers strong

March in columns, never to falter.

In defense of this great land

Lay their lives down strapping the banner.

In the winter months the snows blanket the skies,

A time for rest and renewal.

In the spring the kingdom is revitalized

As nature grows in full renewal.

From golden sunsets to brave midnight moon

This kingdom rises above the rest.

For as long as its tower stands tall

It shall forever remain its people’s best.

Death is Lurking

May my tomb come upon us,

Aoulless, soulless and scared,

And so I pray for when the time comes,

I will be able to say good night.

This will be the last you hear from me,

An instant, a minute for it is written,

But the curtain closes,

You once promised me until the end of time.

May the universe come upon us,

Our time has come; the shadow fades,

To forever abandon a golden complexion,

Gone with the wind, troubled.

Darkness descends

To forever abolish my dream

And pry away my destiny

The hour draws near,

darkness descends

Walls Made of Paper

A castle that looks strong and mighty,

upon a hilltop proudly stands,

with walls of stone, it’s so stately,

but its true strength is in its hands.

The castle might be wide and tall,

it's turrets stretching to the sky,

but if one were to push against its wall,

it would crumble, and then it would die.

The grandeur of it’s grand facade,

the beauty of it’s towers and spires,

is a testament to its charade,

for its strength is only in its fires.

The castle looks so strong and bold,

but it’s only made of brittle stone.

For it can’t withstand the weather’s cold,

and soon it will be dead and gone.

What My Eyes See

In an endless wonder I will stay,

My imagination running wild and free.

It takes me away to a place of glee,

Where beauty never seems to cease.

The world around me is so vast,

The sight of it so grand and pure.

The sky so blue, the stars so bright,

My heart filled with so much allure.

The beauty of the ocean, the flow of its waves,

The mountains that reach to the sky.

The wildlife and wildflowers, trees and leaves,

A place where I could stay and never die.

This endless wonder so vast and so wide,

Is a place I can never forget.

A place of beauty, of joy and of light,

A place of peace I will never regret.

Wonder of an Evening Star

It glows so bright above,

Shines down its light of love,

The sky is painted with its hue

And filled with dreams so true.

The stars twinkle in the night,

Bringing peace and delight,

The moon watches from the sky,

A beacon in the darkness nigh.

The evening star, so tranquil and serene,

Brings us hope and a peaceful dream,

It's beauty, so majestic and grand,

A reminder of a better land.

The stars blanket the night,

Creating a heavenly light,

The horizon is brushed in white,

As the day turns to night.

The night is filled with dreams,

As the stars sparkle and gleam,

Bringing peace and hope to all,

The evening star stands tall.

The evening star is here to stay,

A reminder of the beauty of the day,

Its light, so calming and pure,

Provides assurance, for now, and for sure.

The evening star, so bright and beautiful,

Paints the night with its magical hue,

Its beauty, so divine,

It's a reminder of life's divine.

You are the Mystery I Seek

When I see your face

You're a mystery

You came through your life

Now I wonder if you know

What it feels like to be loved

What it feels like to be alive

And now it feels like it's over

While we're young and foolish

People sending us this message

message that it's serious

We don't know what to believe

We're just trying to keep our cool

Let's walk down this lonely road

Keep our hope alive

Even if it leads nowhere

Well let love turn you blind

Let your dreams turn you into a star

Slumber’s Sweet Dreams

How deep can the abyssal darkness go?

Does the dankness make you shiver?

does it?

The darkness that's to deep to see,

Below all others is the dusk.

I cannot help but stop and wonder,

I saw the the foggy visible radiation of my generation destroyed,

How I mourned the daylight.

Down, down, down into the darkness of the daylight,

Gently it goes - the blurred, the groggy, the fuzzy.

Where is the Peace?

In a world where chaos reigns supreme,

My refuge is a moment of serene,

Where I find solace and tranquility.

The worries of life are a steady stream,

A world of stress that I can't intervene,

In a world where chaos reigns supreme.

My thoughts take me away to a dream,

Where nothing can touch me or intervene,

Where I find solace and tranquility.

Amidst all this turmoil, I still scheme,

To find a place where I can convene,

In a world where chaos reigns supreme.

I can close my eyes and drift downstream,

To a place of peace and tranquility,

Where I find solace and tranquility.

Troubles and worries will never teem,

In a place of beauty and serene,

In a world where chaos reigns supreme,

Where I find solace and tranquility.

Betrayal

Betrayal is a wound that cuts so deep,

It stabs one’s heart, so trust it can’t keep,

The faith, the love, the hope, all cease,

And all that’s left is a heart that’s deceased.

No one can know the sorrow that’s inside,

The pain and hurt, the tears one has cried,

The broken heart, the shattered dreams,

The broken trust, it also screams.

It is a hurtful thing to be betrayed,

The hurt and pain, it can’t be allayed,

It is a wound that one can’t forget,

No matter how much time has past, it’s still set.

Betrayal is a thing that’s hard to bear,

It’s a wound that will never heal, never repair,

The hurt, the pain, the sorrow that it brings,

Are all too much for a heart to sing.
