A Seamstress’s Rest

It is with great displeasure that the households of Rhodon de Rosius and Rosius-d’Abbassia announce the medical confinement of Lady Laetitia Henrietta Rhodon de Rosius et Abbassia, Mistress of the Wardrobe to the River Court, more commonly known as 'Lottie'.

Shortly after learning of the current political situation, she collapsed in her home. It has been determined that the stress of both the dispute and the tremendous workload of preparing for the upcoming ‘River Rendezvous’ caused an inflammation of the heart condition she has suffered from since birth; yet kept secret to avoid the worrying of others.

Lady Laetitia’s current condition is stable, though she has been ordered to remain on bedrest until further notice. She shall be allowed to receive guests, though due to the current situation this has been limited to family only. Additionally, she shall be allowed to send and receive letters, in limited capacity, and at the discretion of her family.

It is asked that speaking of the ongoing conflict be avoided in her presence.

Emma would have stayed next to Laetitia’s bed for the next several weeks, bringing her food and soup every day.

“I will find you a cure, Lottie, even if it means I have to go to the ends of Almaris I will find one.”

After months had passed and she began to recover, Laetitia would slowly start to be seen out and about more in Balian, even without a wheelchair!
