I always wanted to use that opening line from Stars Wars for a forum thread title. Banter aside, a small group of LotCers have banded together to play a storied and time-tested browser-based MMO[RPG] called Pardus. This Austrian work of art has a high degree of complexity in terms of economics, PvP wars, and end-game potential while being very easy to pick up and put down bound by time-based Action Points. If you enjoy strategy and collaboration, this game will be a fun one!

 

The game has a very mature community ranging from the United States to players in Europe & Asia. In terms of roleplaying potential, there are a lot of roleplayers and two syndicates that promote roleplay: a syndicate of hackers, body-part & drug dealers versus a space paladin-like syndicate that oppose each other. The PvP wars are complex, involving pilot-vs-pilot action as well as the potential for taking over player-owned starbases, etc.
