Venerable Brethren, Health and Pontifical Benediction.

 

We are all, young and old, knowledgeable of what transpired so long ago in the Principality of Ando Alur, their sins were felt wide and far. This principality at first glance appeared benevolent, a beacon of equality, knowledge and wisdom. The Pontificate cannot deny any descendant being these noble and most virtuous of goals. However, when these wells of voidal power are purposefully made to strengthen the sorcerer, they attempt to become more than God intended and it clouds their judgement verily.

 

In the end, this beacon could not last. That which gave them power destroyed them. Through their greed, the witches preserving Ando Alur high above God’s terra failed and the gravity-defying city tumbled down to where it belonged, the voidal tear failing with it, unleashing the horrors contained in the Void upon us. One would believe that this catastrophic destruction would be a reminder to never attempt such foolishness again, but it seems the practitioners of voidal magic have not learned their lesson.

 

Once more in their hubris the magicians founded a city on the basis of equality and knowledge. Their territories grow, the people flock to them and the sorcerer-nobles become greedy for more and another of these voidal tears are formed, a mockery of God’s dictations to us. I need not elaborate more, for we all know what happened with Celia’nor only a few Saint’s Days ago.

 

If the Elven people will not heed their own destructive history, I beg of the Canonists in communion with the Mother Church to reject these wellsprings of power, they may be seductive and your intentions may be good, but no matter what it will always end in tears and great loss. In this Theater of Virtue, we are given many trials of faith, Iblees in his deceit attempts to lead the faithful astray, whispering in their ears and offering them powers alike to God, powers which are forbidden for good reason.

 

The Canonist Church nonetheless is sorrowful to hear of the great calamity in the Principality of Celia’nor and prays that they have learned from this grave error.
