“Scorch the earth, burn the feast of sin that was left uneaten…”

Cosmic mistakes and calamity were upon the doorstep of those to the West, to be faced with an onslaught of horrors and Mori’quessir. A task was bestowed upon the Nephilim, “Scorch the earth, burn away at the sin…” The task radiated in the minds of the Heralds and Nephilim that had gathered. Draconic fires burst, bubbled, and charred the land as they were emboldened by their King of Kings, the Great Titan.

Despite the consensus of Descendent-kind, they had a duty to fulfill a centuries-old pact to keep up in defense of those that can not defend themselves. Word had spread to the draconic that the ritual of the mages had failed and so they took it upon themselves to aid for the betterment of all. Five had ventured into the hollow to aid in the chorus of embers, and five had done more than what twenty could have. While they were not asked to aid, they did out of duty to all descendent-kind.

A fourth of the hollow had been scorched, cleansed of malfeasance.

The City of Stars and Embers....dawn breaks, the sky cracks, and safety washes over the land a sense of security from the voidal corruption that it has harbored. For now, the city was safe from the onslaught of  the cosmos.

The Nephilim waned and drained, as he was gifted the will of his powerful father to exert himself to his fullest, bestowed an unbridled might as he scorched and charred the lands, voices breaking through his mind; whispering honeyed words, nonetheless, as he faltered he was brought up once more. - watching as the purifying flame cleansed a portion of the ill-land.

That of Ardromiath let his firery gaze fall upon the Pale City's walls. A smile creeped onto the ashen beast's maw, as his kin had been successful in fulfilling their duty.

Valyris glanced towards the skies as a ward was placed over her city by forces beyond her comprehension. A brow was lofted when she then read the missive before her, while it was a surprise to her, it was not an unwelcome one to have something of the cosmos turn in the favor of her people once more. "The City of Stars and Embers... safe for now."

“Maybe this is what she was talking about.” pondered the Nephilim as he looked off his pearly white balcony. A smile began to creep on his lips as he folding his hands before him.

An old thing loomed in his bomb shelter, the Nephilim unsure if nuclear holocaust loomed above or tranquility but he prayed for the latter.

The Angel stared curiously at the ward which lingered now in the far horizon, a foul profanity in solar gaze, yet a fascinating phenomenon which demanded study. She nodded, then, deciding that the problem of Fi'andria's defense would be left to those she hunted.

"Like attracts like; the flame begets the ash, and the ash begets the flame. Where one road fails, another is tread... Yet no such road is walked with truth. History is repeated, just as it was in vaunted Haelun'or, just as it shall be in the future. Order's justice shall account in all balance."
