Just beside the Esrova Prikaz, a separate building stands, distinguished from the main complex, and commanding a lofty presence over the neighbouring street. It has become an unmistakable landmark on this charming street, as its doors remain perennially open. The steps leading to the entrance are adorned with vibrant flowers, crafting a picturesque tableau. The doorway itself exhibits the tender ministrations of devoted care, with a constant flow of people entering and exiting in a hurried rhythm, evoking the essence of a bustling square nestled within this small enclave.

 

Ground Floor

 

Upon stepping through the threshold, one is greeted by the arresting sight of two majestic stone figures, their watchful gazes directed towards those who enter, diligently safeguarding both the visitors and the repository of knowledge housed within the walls. With a slight shift of one's attention to the right and left of the statues, a cosy sitting area emerges, featuring an additional desk where seekers of specific tomes can seek guidance. Casting one's gaze towards the far walls, a vast expanse of shelves reveals itself, brimming with books and emanating the beloved scent of bibliomania. These shelves eagerly await the exploration of those drawn to the enchanting pages they hold. And, if one were to glance upwards, towering balconies would come into view, housing an astonishing collection of books that were previously unseen. With each momentary diversion of attention and return, it seems as if new items and tomes materialize almost magically, offering endless discoveries for a curious soul.

 

As one steps further into the ground floor, a hidden gem of knowledge and wonder awaits. The shelves are stocked with an exquisite collection of history tomes and biographies, each carefully organized to offer a fascinating exploration of bygone eras and remarkable lives. From the ancient civilizations of the world to the most influential figures in history, each volume invites readers to uncover the intricacies of the past. The air is thick with a sense of reverence as visitors wander through the aisles, drawn to the captivating titles and evocative covers. Within this haven of knowledge, time seems to stand still, allowing one to fully immerse themselves in the stories that shaped our world and foster a deeper understanding of our shared heritages. It's truly a remarkable experience, one that leaves a lasting impression on all who enter.

 

 

First Floor

 

Upon ascending the staircase to the left, a wall of books welcomed visitors on the landing, concealing a hidden alcove tucked behind the stairs, where a collection of bestiary books resided. If one tore their gaze away from the stairs and looked ahead, rows of books stretched out before them, each shelf dedicated to a unique topic, from cooking guides to captivating narratives of medical tomes. Scattered across the floor, historical objects evoked different periods of the city's past, periodically replaced by diligent librarians who always seemed to be present. Venturing to the far right of the room, one would discover a vibrant children's area bursting with toys and engaging storybooks. Further exploration of this section revealed cosy hiding spots and, notably, a Storytime corner where librarians occasionally enthralled young listeners with captivating tales. Surprisingly, the area remained impeccably tidy, a testament to the librarians' meticulous care.

 

 

Second Floor

 

As one ascended the left staircase to its final level, a carefully curated collection awaited, spanning culture, magic, politics, and languages, catering to the refined tastes of those seeking intellectual enrichment.

 

The shelves boasted an extensive assortment that delved into diverse cultures, illuminating their rich traditions and customs. The magic section dazzled with arcane wisdom, captivating the imagination of even the most discerning reader. Books on politics and Valdev Archives offered profound insights into the inner workings of governments and the intricacies of historical events, providing a nuanced understanding of power dynamics. Language enthusiasts found delight in dictionaries and guides that unlocked the gates to new linguistic horizons, fostering the pursuit of eloquence and fluency. Meanwhile, the floor's spacious area beckoned many it serving as a refined venue for erudite discussions, sophisticated cultural events, and esteemed gatherings.

We provide a wide range of services within the Secret Bookstore that benefit the community of Haense for their literary, stationary, and academic needs.  These services are listed below:

 

- Copying of In-store Reads & Library books

If one of our Secret Garden exclusive books is too good for you to leave behind at the store, we will create a copy of the original for purchase at the wholesale price plus a 5 mina service fee. This same service fee applies to the library copying service.

 

- Letter Service

At the Secret Garden Bookstore, we offer a letter service to those who lack writing capabilities.  We will draft your letter for you and have it taken to the aviary to be sent to your desired recipient. 

 

- Publication

We appreciate the creative works of authors from all over the continent. Through the Secret Garden Publication, our dedicated and talented publishers will review your artistic work and put it on the shelves of our esteemed bookstore. As copies sell, the author will receive a 50% commission on the profits. 

 

- Tutoring

We provide a tutoring service within a variety of subjects within the proprietor’s expertise. This includes but is not limited to etiquette, history, literature, diplomacy, and herbology. More is to come with the ever-expanding search for knowledge.
