KRUSAE ZWY KONGZEM

Issued by the

PALATINE

In accordance with the wishes of the

CROWN

Naf zwy 10th hag i Msitza ag Dargund i 486 E.S.

VA BIRODEO HERZENAV AG EDLERVIK,

In the midst of a ball hosted by the Queen, a Holy Inquisitor announced the arrest and impending test of vampyrism of the Court Custodian, Lady Allessandra of Amador. Throughout the procedure, she was noted as evasive and had shifted across the Everardian Basilica in an attempt to escape. The Knights of the Realm quickly apprehended her at the Inquisition’s request, where her palm was sliced with an aurum blade and purified salt poured in the wound. The woman screeched as it bubbled, an indication of her vampyric curse, which sent the aforementioned Knights to execute her before the eyes of all present. A debate amongst the witnesses quickly ensued, with numerous missives in regards to it. The Crown now asks the Lord and Peoples’ Dumas the following question:

“In this age of the Kingdom of Haense, what is the ideal procedure for the testing and conviction of a darkspawn?”

The Crown also refers to the Duma the following key points for debate:

Preventative Measures: With the threat of a potential vampyric coven, or other perceived daemonkind embedded into society, should the Crown be more vigilant with determining those who work within their government and courts? If so, should mandatory testing be done, and who would apply? What other actions should be taken to protect the people of our realm?

Possibility of Cures: In the events prior to the execution of the vampyr, she had asked for a cure. A man within the audience claimed to have one in possession, but none considered the possibility. In the instance that a cure is possible and the darkspawn is willing, should it be provided instead of execution? If so, what of those with child? It has been stated since that a child would have died if they are cured. What if the darkspawn in question is linked to the death of an innocent?

Children of Darkspawn: The largest source of contention with the execution of the vampyr was her being with child. What procedure should be taken for a darkspawn of a similar position? Are the children of darkspawn guilty themselves, and born of the same affliction? If so, could they be cured? If not, would they be subjected to a life of pain despite their innocence?

IV JOVEO MAAN,

His Royal Majesty, Aleksander II, by the Grace of Godan, King of Hanseti and Ruska, Grand Hetman of the Army, Hochmeister of the Order of the Crow, Prince of Bihar, Dules, Lahy, Muldav, Solvesborg, Slesvik and Ulgaard, Duke of Carnatia and Vanaheim, Margrave of Korstadt, Rothswald and Vasiland, Count of Alban, Siegrad, Werdenburg, Alimar, Baranya, Graiswald, Karikhov, Karovia, Kaunas, Kavat, Kovachgrad, Kvasz, Markev, Nenzing, Torun, Toruv, Valdev, and Werdenburg, Viscount of Varna, Baron of Esenstadt, Kraken’s Watch, Kralta, Krepost, Lorentz, Rytsburg, Buck, Thurant and Astfield, Lord of the Westfolk, Protector and Lord of the Highlanders, etcetera.

"Is simple, do simple small test to those in positions of power, if vampyre with child, detain instead of kill on sight until child is born until cure or if they refuse, execution. Unless vampyre is directly trying to harm another, the solution should be detaining first for information, for attempt of cure, and for lack of brutality."
Andrei gave his opinion before returning to work on the piled paperwork and hat requests.

"It is at this moment I think duma should have a representative of the clergy in it so they can you know, give the advice of the Church to the debate. But I don't even think a debate on this is necessary, the Church Inquisition acted rightly and the judiciary of Haense can follow this precedent. You do not need to fix what is not already broken"

[racist] Brother Odo states upon reading over the letter

"Take the example of the testing of the Jazloviecki's in Sedan on Almaris; if the darkspawn in question have NOT committed murder, and have NOT turned anyone else to also be a darkspawn, cure them. Execute otherwise. If they are pregnant, then you cannot cure the darkspawn AND save the child, an unfortunate price to pay, they must be executed, but they themselves are the only one to blame for the child's death."

@WarcrimesofWonka

OOC: I suppose this is dependent on whether they oocly agree to stay detained, rather than doing the old ss'ing out of prison after however many hours or minutes.
