Marshi 1184 Popular Post Share Posted January 13, 2024 The Soldiers of Stassion amidst the fallen C. 1955 Spoiler Assassin's Creed - EZIO'S FAMILY (With Lyrics) Cover The winds howled mournfully across the desolate landscape as Princess Ottavia of Stassion surveyed the aftermath of the devastating defeat. The once-proud banners of Stassion now lay trampled in the mud, the castle walls scorched from the fires of war. Ottavia's heart weighed heavy with grief and anger, but she refused to let despair consume her. As Ottavia and the remnants of her principality scoured the battlefield for survivors, the glow of victory belonged to the usurper king of Aaun. The invaders had claimed the Marchlands, leaving Ottavia's people shattered and her home in ruins. Yet, the fire in Ottavia's eyes refused to be extinguished. Among the fallen Aaunite soldiers lay a wounded man, his breaths shallow and labored. Ottavia, fueled by a mixture of rage and determination, approached the enemy soldier. His plea for mercy fell on deaf ears as Ottavia drove her sword through him once more. Nearby, the fallen banner of Aaun, adorned with a white rose, lay stained with the blood of the fallen. Ottavia observed as the crimson river flowed towards the banner, transforming the once-white rose into a haunting shade of red. She crouched down, picking up the emblem that now bore witness to the bloodshed. Turning to her remaining people, Ottavia raised the blood-stained banner high. Her voice rang out with defiance, "Stassion remains independent, and independent it will stay. You stood here with me today, reminding everyone that Marchlanders cannot be cowed by fear, bullied by force, or bought by any tyrant king." She continued, addressing the loss of their homeland, "While we may have lost the Marchlands, we will march forth to our allies and rebuild. They may spill our blood, but they will never take our heritage or our freedom." With those words, Ottavia handed the blood-soaked banner to her husband, Richard, who bore the weight of their defeat on his wounded shoulders. Mounting her horse, Ottavia cast a final, sorrowful glance at the charred ruins of Stassion, the children's only inheritance. Yet, her resolve remained unbroken. With a determined spirit, she turned her stallion around and led her people away from the Marchlands of Stassion. "Marchlanders, we leave the Marchlands of Stassion, taking our name, heritage, and title with us," Ottavia declared as she tightened her grip on the reins, kicking her horse forth. The remnants of Stassion, with heads held high, rode away from the smoldering ruins. Ottavia's words echoed in the wind: "Stassions never die." Spoiler Please keep in mind that this is a POV post and is not to be metagamed, But ggs to the covenant! ErosTea 1084 Share Posted January 13, 2024 Cordelia Claudine raised the visor from the helmet that was too large for her young head. She looked up toward her mother's cold gaze that stared toward the horizon as they rode onward. Where will we go now? She wanted to ask her mother, but a voice within her chided the silly question. She knew what her mother would say. The young Stassion bit her tongue as she held tightly onto her mother's back. "A dragon cannot be consumed by fire, it only burns brighter." She said to herself quietly. And the fire within her sparked anew.

Crevel 7561 Share Posted January 13, 2024 Ser Vylandris of the United Kingdom of Aaun returns home from battle, a victory hard-fought and a victory well-earned. He takes off his blood-stained armour before going to his barn. He tends to his cows, a peaceful interaction to conclude the adrenaline of combat as he allowed a sense of peace to overtake him. He knew this would not be the end. The stubbornness of Man has been a strong suit, but at times it has also served to be the downfall of leaders and their people. The king would surely not allow the Stassionite leadership, if they survived at all, to remain alive after murdering his former kingly nephew. Blood for blood. And the Stassionite leadership would surely not allow a war to be their end, following in the footsteps of the besieged Brascans. Stubbornness vs Stubbornness. A war that transcends time and creed. A war that Ser Vylandris had no qualms continuing to fight. A victory for Aaun is a victory that Vylandris can take pride in... as its success correlated directly with his own. Spoiler Good fight. Hope to see you in the next one.
annanicole__ 2802 Share Posted January 13, 2024 Mathilde Augusta Stassion meticulously gathered her belongings from the formidable Castle Aurelian, the air thick with a solemn vow: "Blood for Blood." Whispering with determination, she furrowed her brows while descending the steps. "They did not scorch us. We are dragons, after all. May they find peace tonight, but rest assured, we shall pursue them once more." With a graceful mount onto her horse, Mathilde rode away with her family to an unknown destination. "Blood will be spilled, but it shall not be ours. Ave Stassion. Stassions never die." Glancing back at the home that cradled nineteen years of memories, Mathilde turned to her sister Cordelia. "We shall return, Delia, mark my words." @ErosTea
