Islamadon 4567 Popular Post Share Posted January 20 THE GATELESS GATE In such an era that man detests his fellow more than the untouchable, the world writhes with anguish. With wroth, the world has been swallowed by a most treacherous torrent of causality. The scars levied by such hatred carve deep into the very earth; there is little distinction from hell. And so it is that the World weeps, and those most noble of spirits find themselves ever the less welcome. The manifestations of vice and blood swell, their guts stuffed from the debauchery of current affairs. Verily, all beings suffer amidst the fury of the storm. Both man and beast face the endless chopping of the blade; too are the boons of nature plundered with disregard. In fostering such attention to bloodshed, man has become blinded - he cannot even comprehend that his actions harm himself. In harming himself, he harms his family. He harms his friends. He harms the stranger. A world at peace is a fruit well ripened; a world at peace is paradise. I dream of a world where the road’s greatest danger is the stray stone. I dream of a world where one’s enemy is sin, and sin alone. I dream of a world where strangers need not hate. I dream of a world where there exists only gateless gates. I SAY UNTO THEE; Veletz Man, there is no need to perpetuate this conflict further. Indeed, it is a virtue to uphold the tenets of honor and courage; yet still, it requires the spirit of a Saint to truly embody them. In maintaining this state of war, the only thing which is preserved is the ego and pride of the Veletz polity. It is the delusion of a fool to think that Veletz shall be eternal, for even with the changing of the season does the land make way for new life. In clinging to what is unreal, you shall find only disappointment. For Veletz is not a place which is tangible, nor is it a title which can only be expressed through words. Veletz is the sum of experience and dreams, and so it is that Veletz shall always live on in the hearts of those who would stay true to its ideals. In brokering peace, you may divine a tomorrow more golden than the shining sun. Covenant Man, there is no need to pursue annihilation. Indeed, your grievances run deep as if skewered by hot iron. Yet still, the path of the Saint is not one of vengeance. Justice, though you may preach, is not preceded with hatred nor animosity. It is the pursuit of truth, and fair judgment. In seeking the annihilation of the Veletzer, you only perpetuate the cycle of wrath. Those survivors shall swell with a yearning for retribution, and an enemy eternal you shall foster. You are harming yourself. And indeed, to what end would the belly of the Covenant beast be sated? What benefit would the prostration and the indignity of your opponent endow beyond pride? In brokering a most noble peace, you may yet find kinship. Verily, my words are honeyed and so sweet that a wise man might think them sugar. The radiant tomorrow that is within our grasp is not so easily reached; great effort must be levied. Foster the wellbeing of your flock, for any shepherd who would usher it towards doom I would call a butcher. Should neither camp seek the path of peace, there can be no faulting the other; all would be guilty of leaving the world in despair. Jaslaw 276 Share Posted January 20 "One which had not been at war for the last 40 years wont understand." *Onon grumbled to himself with a slight shake of his head as he sees the call to peace not involving destruction of Veletz* "To allow a state which culture is focused around banditry to exist, is to invite more suffering then putting an end to this all... They would only rebel if we had put someone to watch over em, or not paid any mind to that leaders judgment. Swift end is but the only peace there shall be..." *Musing for a few moments yet in the end finally saying* "I wonder, will they speak the same if we are forced to go after Krug next? Only time will tell.
