The Second Plague of Velenic Lands

The March of Velen has had a second plague pass through its lands, taking from the von Reuss household as it had before in 1936 when the beloved Philippa I of Velen passed. While it recovers and counts its injured and dead, it has been revealed that the Countess of Revedin and her younger sister, Harmonie Luciel, have both succumbed to plague-included complications.

 

The Countess of Revedin, Konstancja Illena von Reuss, was born on the 15th of Tobias' Bounty, 1954, and accomplished much as an adolescent. She traveled far and wide, educating herself as is tradition for an Aschenwalden heiress. However, her spirit never truly returned home. On a visit to her younger sister, Harmonie Luciel, she caught the vicious plague and tragically did not recover. 

Sister Harmonie Luciel von Reuss, triplet to Guinevere Milena and Leufroy Otto, was born on the 7th of Godfrey's Triumph, 1955. She served the good sisters of St. Jude, eventually taking up the cloth herself. On one trip to spread the good and honest word of God, she brought back the plague to her sisters, spiritually and biologically. Thus, passing shortly before her older sister from similar complications.

 

In a state of emergency, the March of Velen thus announces Leufory Otto von Reuss as the new Count of Revedin following his older sister's death. A ceremony shall be hosted after the appropriate mourning period has ended. 

 

A funeral ceremony will be conducted once the bodies have been cleansed of plague and can no longer cause harm to the living.

When Leufroy Otto received word of the passing of his sisters, he immediately fell ill as he was overcome with strong emotions of grief and worry. He was unsure of how his life would pan out now that he had been named as the new Count of Revedin. Deep down inside himself Leuie felt as though he was not prepared nearly as well enough as his eldest sister, but he still knew that he could not let his parents down during this difficult time. After some time of deep thought and reflection, Leufroy then finally let out a shaky sigh as he tried to pull himself together for the sake of his family. At that, he went to continue his day, though he barely offered any words to anyone who might have come across him.
