This post is meant to promote open conversation about THE FERRYMEN. I encourage everyone to speak nothing but their mind. You will not be scolded for leaving bad feedback. You will be kissed for good feedback.

Ever since 2020, The Ferrymen have been the most dominant conflict-oriented group on the server. We have had our ups and downs. Conflict groups often fizzle out extremely quickly, but we have managed to stand the test of time (for now). We are not as bad and mighty as people make us out to be, and we encourage everyone to find this fact out for themselves by engaging in casual conversation with us.

We made this post simply because our name keeps popping up in general feedback posts about the server as a whole. Today we are here to lower our heads and face the storm head-on. If you believe The Ferrymen are the root cause for all bad on this server, tell us how to do better. If you don’t wish to post your two cents publicly, you may also DM me (ferrymick on Discord).

What are the current limits on what bandits are allowed to do to other players?

To many people are quick to judge the Ferrymen for every problem out there, sure they cause RP trouble and will often be a fierce opponent in wars, but they do all this with a sense of dignity and respect. If not for the Ferrymen, there would be very little RP danger in the world, making in feel boring and plain. Not to mention if the Ferrymen were not around their would just be another trouble RP group to rise up, at least the Ferrymen know where to draw a line.

I honestly don't really like anything about the Ferrymen. The conflict provided from the Ferrymen has literally nothing intriguing about it. It's honestly just annoying RP to deal with, and a lot of them do not realize it I think. Or maybe they do, and they simply do not care? If the Ferrymen were better in the past, than I believe that they've definitely downgraded to just simply terrible bandit RP; not providing quality emotes, and basically just ruining the experience. I'm aware I've not been around for long, but the interactions I've had from the time I HAVE been around, and the things I've heard don't steer me towards enjoying their presence at all.

 

Perhaps you they could try improving the quality of their emotes, and the way they treat the people that are interacting with them. It's all a LOT of bad faith I feel...

We are sorry to hear that you've had poor experiences with our group. Do you happen to remember who specifically you had this horrible interaction with? What exactly happened? I do not recall ever interacting with your personally, but I'm sure that whoever you had this interaction with wasn't primarily there to upset you. The ferrymen have psychologically terrorised me for months. Their bandanas have been permanently etched into my mind as the ultimate symbol of terror and fear. I cannot enjoy a simple tea party in my palace without looking over my shoulder now. It’s horrifying….
