"Well, hunting that fallen Paladin who is now interrupting Darkspawn investigations might get a bit complicated, now that he is gone." Raziel scratched his head, "Refused a Darkspawn test and then fled the continent. Incredibly suspicious. Should I still bother? Hmmm! He pondered then, unsure what to do.

Maethor Sythaerin, mercenary, soldier, and defender of Vikela stands upon the other side of the river, as he watches the very nation he was hired to defend burn. The once, peaceful city now ablaze in a bright light, shining for miles around. Upon his pallid face, a tear falls from his eye, as he now kneels before the river so close to the city. With a daemonsteel dagger, he cuts off his ponytail, sending it floating upon the river as he mutters a pray to Larihei.

"May you give me strength, in these dark times."

Surtr laments on the self-exiled Cerrick, though with much responsibility, he would find little time to greet them. Instead, he means to pray; to who, who knew, yet he intends a good destination for them to reflect, and reconcile upon their failures.

He would find the cliffside of a distant mountain close to the ravaged lands, watching the blaze grow.

"Vikela did fall, as did Nor'asath.. That is harsh reality of elven life."

Mayilu'maln murmured while reading the missive.

"Razed and salted. . . Yes, this matches the temperament and history of their nation, there's not a huge difference." Silwyn was still slightly vexed by the act.

A ragged face grows taut with a wide toothy smile, a persistent mania lurking behind the gaunt man's murky eyes. He scanned the document, opting to roll a pack outside the remains of the smoldering capital city of Vikela.

"Real city boy shit.Grumbled Mukumbura Ivonavich.

"Smoked like a pack, fake ass xannite." He offered Daahd'lur a hit, laughing all the while.

"It is the shame of the nation they did not relent when we first came to them. Woe unto them." A nearby officer spoke,

There was silence as they awaited the Khan's response.

"That they put up a fight is enough." Commented the Rex'Khan.

"Find the mina they took from the treasury."

Vikela Delenda Est.

An elfess stood before the fallen city with her staff. The place she once called home is now lost but instead of sadness, a soft smile rested upon her face "Mother, Sister...Vikela rests in the stars with you now, the sword that protects is now with its founders, please watch over it until I meet you in the stars as well. Until then, continue to watch over our people" She said before getting on one knee with a hand over her heart "It was a gift to be Vikela's knight...and it was a blessing to be its queen."

"what a waste...."

Embers stared from the tree tops afar from the Vikelia lands, seeing the bright orange hours of fire.

"If only they truly listened to the spirits, and fixed the jungle and didn't result to a xannite, they would of had some form of significance. Just like Ravenswood, The Vale and Nor'vaelyth."

Then she stared at the forest, as she began to descend

"And I know who's next...."

In the unlikeliest of places, somebody still cared for the broken paladin and longed to bring him the peace his faith had done naught but deny him...

The Devil-Knight of Dúnkeld would be roaming about the realms of Aevos, her mind plagued with nightmares and day-visions. Upon hearing of Vikela's razing, she frowns. "I hope Cerrick made it out." She murmured solemnly.

Fal'leon had pieced together the occurrence well before the missive made its way to him, after a particular healing session. The once dual Minister, who aided in the brought of Vikela to its greatest of glories, all but shrugs at the news. "Th' jungle is r'claimed, if th' uruk're o' any wisdom they'll continue this pursui' 'till all na'ure impedin' kingdoms are ash." He grits out. "Th' only shame was tha' they buil' this new ci'y in such a manner tha' i' was so disrup'ive. I'd 'ave though' be''er."

Anastatsya, her title of Minister of Justice, sighs in her readings and slumps into one of the chairs in her clan household, glancing towards the crackling fire. "I guess the timing is well enough for me... Now I do niet have to send my letter of resignation. Still pissed it was uruk of all people... Is all they do war people and be loathed by the world?" She asks no one in particular, earning a head tilt from her Samoyed.

Yet, to the elves who betray their own race and claim righteousness, may the Faux Sun shine upon the shadows of which you plot under. There will be no peace for you or your ilk in the world to come.

Galahad's fingers brush across the section of parchment these words were writ. Over his shoulder lingers a lavender elfess, to which he presents the missive.

"It's a difficult thing to come to terms with," he softly tells her. "That our upbringing is had on the backbone of war. I do not bask in the blood, but I choose the legacy it begets. Not them. Vikelan blood shall not go to waste."

Marywen's own gaze read idly over the missive, that stern expression never fading even at the cessation of the war. Though as those words rang in her ears, that paper was folded and left back on that oaken table.

"We are opportunistic, Galahad," her words firm. "The names of those spilled in this forest may be forgotten, but their contribution will be remembered. This vision seems to finally be bearing fruit."
