[!] The article would be sent en masse, carried by caravans of the notorious and world-famous

Wick Courier Rats™. Many of the papers would be received by the intended Wick hands, but the rest lay in gutters and common walkways - the pages staining in grime and filth.

Wicksmoot, 1989.

In the tavern of Númenost just a Saint’s nights ago a rare sight to see was called to by the then Grand Wick, Caius Llago. Crowds of people gathering with curious eyes to see what all the commotion in the tavern was. The peoples of Wick, and their Wick associates had gathered and sat around the table. Those twelve in attendance, and many many more in observance were prepared to see a wonderful night of Wick tradition unfold before them.

As those members of the Wicksmoot had settled in and the tavern grew quiet, the former Grand Wick, Caius Llago would take to the stage – clearing his throat he stood in front all those before him. The Wick would announce his resignation, his health growing too weak to carry on the responsibilities of wrangling such a wild gang of Wickfolk, his body aches and his mind becomes frail. For this we will pray for the health and long happy life of the former Grand Wick, Caius Llago, always in our minds and hearts as he makes it through these troubles. @glassyskies

After a speech and long-drawn words to the many gathered, he would call for the most important event of any Wicksmoot. He raised a hand and called forth to the stage all willing candidates that wished to ascend to the position of Grand Wick. The first to raise would be Andrée Ines, sister of the former Grand Wick, she would stand tall on the stage with a smile and a welcoming warmth around her – this woman is a pure hearted and kind member of the Wick family, she will always stand by what is fair and right morally at all costs, a trait not common in most traditional Wickfolk.  The second to take stage would be the oathed Wick, Calaron, making his way to the stage to stand proudly and confident – a man sure to make a great leader and inspiration to his family and friends. Following Calaron would be the other oathed Wick, Lalaithion, himself standing to the flank of his brother, Calaron with a smile – this one carry with him a pride of Wickish tradition and ethics that is not often found these days, keeping a pure respect for the histories of his ilk. Then would be the brave boy, Felix Wick, carrying his rat Wickers to stage with him he was sure of his victory beforehand – this boy surely has a bright future ahead of him, perhaps even that of a Grand Wick. And lastly would be Goran Wick, reluctantly he stepped to the stage, dipping his head to those gathered in silence.

So after a few more words, and the setting of tables for each candidate, the votes were to begin. Each Wick and Wick associate were handed a candle, their candle to be placed by their selected candidate. Just as votes were to take place though something odd happened, not seen before in Wicksmoot and Grand Wick election history, a runner had dropped out, Andrée Ines stepping down from the stage for some unknown reason. But that aside it did not seem to slow the flow of the election, and without hesitation, Nardo “Derfey” Wick, did cast the first vote. A candle by the name Goran.

So as follows are the results of this most grand election:

Calaron - Two Candles

Lalaithon - Two Candles

Felix (and Wickers) - Two Candles

Goran - Four Candles

The count was final, and all that wished to vote did such, those wishing to abstain remained silent. One last call from the former Grand Wick, Caius Llago; “If any oppose this decision, speak now.” Without any disagreement or trouble, it was settled. The One, Goran Wick, is now Grand Wick.

Word of The One, Goran Wick.

I would like to personally applaud and congratulate the young Felix Wick. He began the last Saint’s day as a boy, not sure what to make of himself, a low and pathetic rat. Today we can look at him with a smile, offering him gifts and praise, he has endured his coming of age. HE IS WICK. @King_Kunuk

As my first actions and plans in the office of Grand Wick is change. Firstly, the respect and practice of tradition will grow among the ilk of Wick. It will return like never before, like our forefathers would have it in the times of the Old Raev. Secondly the structuring of the Grand Wick Cabinet, in the next coming months I will be appointing members to my office in respect to their own skills and value to the House of Wick.

So far I have decided upon the following in terms of position:

TMW, Calaron, Speaker of the Wickwald @Security_

TMW, Asbjorn Carthaig, Advisor of Service @PCSwift

TMW, Lalaithion, Advisor of Culture and Ethics @EmbryoGod

Vacant, Advisor of Commerce

Vacant, Advisor of Spirit

Henceforth all those in direct council to the Grand Wick will be referred to as The Most Wicked (TMW), and officials of the moot will be referred to as The Wicked (TW).

To any Wicks who would wish to aid in my duties as Grand Wick, the door is always open. For now, the Home of the Wick remains in the White City Númenost for the foreseeable future. To any unhoused, lost, or traveling Wicks, know there is always a bed for the weary rat.

We aren’t done yet,

The young FELIX WICK still touches and rubs the ear that was horrifically bitten off and restitched by on during his LUMPING. The scar and infection seethed; forever marking the right ear of the young boy as horrifically deformed from the beating; with many of cuts to scar his face from the glass bottle bashed upon his head.

Calaron Wick sat within his chambers, face still blushed in furious reds as he read the missive. Retrieving his throwing knives, he began to pace around the room… but a few cigars and drinks later proved calming to his temper.
