Phillipe stared at the broken corpse of Nataya.

". . ."

A few, strained, weary moments of silence. He permitted a tear or two - a minute of grief, and then he turned, and reentered New Valdev. Things were about to move quickly. There was no time for sorrow - wallowing would not have pleased Nataya.

Arthur threw his hood up, and rode away from New Valdev, some indiscernible emotion leaving him as he left Nataya's corpse for the poor citizens to find.

From within one of the Lesanov's antechambers, Milena sat before the hearth and stared into its flames. Her fingers lightly danced over the small curve of her abdomen, the reality of her pregnancy finally starting to show. The woes of the previous night's visit to Kovgrad and her fears of a tumultuous birth had sent her into yet another bout of dire brooding--interrupted by the entrance of her maid.

This time, the girl offered no word of a meal being served or a letter being delivered. As so often it had been of late...the maid brought only word of death.

"And what of her child?"

That was the lone question to leave the dour woman's lips.

"Why do those who are good die so young" Rickard Nord would mutter to himself upon hearing the news of his friend's passing

And there would always be more, wouldn’t there? When you surround yourself with loved ones, there’s always more death that way. Asteria should’ve known because that’s how it has been going lately.

When she heard the news, she crumpled. Of all people to die, not Nataya, why Nataya? They had begun as enemies, but gradual became friends before becoming much closer friends. Asteria knew she could’ve called upon Nataya for anything and Nataya knew the very same for her. So why? Why did Nataya, sweet, funny, Nataya… have to die?

Malna/Annika stayed the night at the daycare, making sure Lorina went to bed or was signed out... she had been at the daycare, only to awake the next day and see Lorina's mother, lying dead in the clinic.

I could have saved her. You were too late. Life was supposed to be better. Why did she die?

Thoughts rushed around her head, staring down at her. She cried, promising herself Lorina would not see her mother in such a way

Spuds sat atop his hoard of a variety of trinkets and items. He just looked at the wall infront of him, he laid back and stares at the ceiling about him “But who will give me two mina hot coco now at the tavern?” He asked thinking about the sugar he was missing out on “Anyone can. But only she made it great. Why do the smart have to go so earlier before i can teach me to cheat the laws of the game of life? Why does my student who I spent time on have to go like that? Why am I asking myself this? She isn’t here to reply.” He laid on the uncomfortable pile of goods just thinking to himself questions he would not get some miraculous reply too

Nataya is someone Sariel didn't know much, yet every small conversation spared was a delight.

Eventually, he visits that all-familiar house they first met in.

Arnor found the body by the gate on his way out of the city. With a long, bereaved look the mute waited by the woman's side until news of her departure was made clear. He accompanied the body to the clinic for its examination and silently greeted all those who had come to see.

The tears only stopped when he finally mustered the courage to leave.

An ancient justiciar of an esoteric faith drew her blade and adjusted her quiver. Blood demanded blood, and this death demanded vengeance.

As Cerrick entered Valdev, he walked into the tavern and waited, and waited, and waited. He looked around after night had fallen, worried that Nataya hadn't come. She was always there, it wasn't normal. The next day he did the same, though shouts at the front gate drew him near. It was there he found a sight so horrid it made him heave,

Nataya

It was then he fell to his knees, the last sanity of the Fallen Paladin leaving him as the straw broke the camel's back. It was a dark day for Cerrick, an even darker one as he scrambled to search for Lorina.

The aforementioned Lorina was long gone elsewhere, having disappeared sometime around her mother's passing. No words could be exchanged with the little one no matter how many people worried for her safety. Malna's cries fell upon deaf ears as there was no sight of the child since that fateful event. All of the people who had worried for her would continue to do so, gone with the wind. . .for now.
