To the People of Urguan, the Brathmordakin, and the false King,

By the will of the free dwarves of Hefrumm, we, the Ember Alliance, stand united in righteous defiance against the crown of Urguan. We come not as traitors, but as dwarves of honor, duty-bound to restore the balance and justice that our kingdom was founded upon. For too long has our people endured the failures of a king unworthy of his throne, a ruler whose vision is clouded by delusion and neglect.

We, the sons and daughters of Hefrumm, have watched in horror as the Grand Kingdom has fallen into decay under his rule. The very halls of our ancestors, once vibrant with the ringing of hammers and the songs of our people, now lie empty and desolate. The King, who should lead us with strength and wisdom, has abandoned his duties, seldom seen within the sacred halls of Urguan, leaving our kingdom to wither in his absence.

Worse still, we cannot forget the near-total destruction of the Great Temple, the heart of our people’s faith. By the King’s own hand, it was desecrated—the priesthood liquidated on account of a near-heretical dream. Such reckless actions are not befitting of a ruler who claims to serve the Brathmordakin. Yemekar the Forger shapes this world, and yet the King’s madness has cast the temple, and thus our connection to the gods, into the dust.

The King’s failures do not end there. The agreements that bind Hefrumm to Urguan—the Concord between the mountain and the forest—have been broken time and again. Hefrumm’s people, the Forest Dwarves, have been disregarded, our rights trampled upon by a ruler who cares little for the agreements that once ensured our protection and honor. We have borne this insult with patience, but no more. We demand the respect and justice we are due.

Therefore, we, the Ember Alliance, do hereby demand that the King of Urguan abdicate his throne for his failure to lead, for his violation of the sacred temples, and for his continued betrayal of the agreements with Hefrumm. The crown must pass to a leader who embodies the true virtues of the dwarves—wisdom, strength, and reverence for the Brathmordakin.

Let it be known to all of Urguan that this is not a call to chaos, but to restoration. Our fight is not against the kingdom, but against the corruption and neglect that have brought it to ruin. We stand for the old ways, for the unity of all dwarves under the watchful eyes of Yemekar and Anbella, and all Brathmordakin above.

Until justice is served, the fires of the Ember Alliance will burn bright. We will not falter, nor will we yield, until Urguan is returned to the rightful path.

In the name of the Brathmordakin, and in the name of all free dwarves, we stand as one.

Dravil Ireheart could be found deep within a forest, hunting its denizens for flesh and pelts to warm dwarven youth "Ye lads goneh numb en dah 'ead? Firs' sum troial noohw des? Dwedmar lef' an' roigh' beh loosin soight o' dah ball game ereh" The stout Dungrimmite shook his head fervently as he plunged his axe in the neck of a writhing deer.

Velkon carried logs between his hand and hip. He looked to his brother, who was spending time with his beloved wife. Velkon inhaled the fresh pollen falling from the trees above. “Urguan has changed. Et wasn’t loike dis before Oi left.” He spoke under his breath, “Et must be done.”

While Briga understood and sympathized with Hefrumm's frustration, this was the second time she had seen Alaric's name attached to a letter questioning Ulfar's capacity to rule.

Ever since the election, and perhaps before then, it seemed the two were constantly at odds. At this point, Briga saw the attachment of Alaric's name to anything critical of Ulfar as the mark of a personal grudge rather than adding legitimacy.

Like Alaric, Briga was one of the original signatories of the Ember Alliance when Garedyn had first proposed it... While she hoped the best for Hefrumm, despite her lack of present-day relation with the territory, she did not foresee this demand for abdication accomplishing much.

Narvi snorts at the missive, remembering how Ulfar had won the election in a landslide against Alaric, he muses how any one could take this dwarf seriously.
