[✗] [Amendment] Furious Flame

Changes have been marked in bold!

From:

A Templar, who has become experienced in manifesting their aura, will discover that their fiery courage now subconsciously manifests about their first-drawn weapon. Enwreathed in Holy White Flame, a Templar’s instrument is endowed with the dark-spawn purging effects of Aurum, albeit incapable of imprisoning souls. Too would this flame sear the corrupted souls of darkspawn, inflicting great debilitating pain.

However, a Templar is warned. Should they disregard the honor of their first drawn blade by choosing another, their enwreathed flame will subside for the remainder of the battle lest the Templar kneel in penance and remanifest their holy fire manually unto their next chosen weapon.

Furious Flame passively affects only the FIRST weapon a Templar draws. Changing weapons will result in the spell’s dissipation for the remainder of CRP unless resummoned. This does NOT include Shields, lest the shield itself is the primary weapon.

• Furious Flame is indicated by an enveloping white flame about the weapon. It is noted that this fire is incapable of illumination, burning, blinding, ETC. To non-corrupt entities/structures, it is completely harmless.

• Furious Flame possesses the properties of Aurum bar its weight and soul-trapping capability. This is applicable to other ST approved materials, excluding that of Thanhium.

• Furious Flame necessitates that an individual seeking to resummon the fire kneel and remain immobile. This is to say that, while resummoning, the Templar cannot be in motion. This may also be performed to imbue a second weapon (in the case of Dual Wielding NOT Shields) with Furious Flame.

• In the event that a Templar is disarmed amidst combat, the further ability "Bound Armament" will ensure that Furious Flame remains active. Should a Templar in any way switch for another weapon or willfully disarm themselves, Furious Flame will deactivate.

• Combative Voidal Spells (including barriers) which make contact with Furious Flame will deactivate Furious Flame for a total of [3] Emotes before reactivating. Too would proximity to Voidal Tears or Hollows deactivate Furious Flame for the entirety of the duration that a Templar remains within its effective radius.

• In comparison to other spells which make use of the White Flame as a tell (i.e. Bulwark or Vigorous Blow), Furious Flame will appear duller in luminescence.

Enwreathed in Holy White Flame, a Templar’s instrument is endowed with the dark-spawn purging effects of Aurum, albeit incapable of imprisoning souls. Too would this flame sear the corrupted souls of dark creatures (i.e., CA, such as liches, Darkstalkers, Inferis, and so on), inflicting great debilitating pain.

Furious Flame is designed as a tool of war and may activate only during a combat scenario. In addition, the flames do not spread or burn like normal fire.

• Furious Flame cannot be used for darkspawn test; it is strictly a passive ability for use in battle and not for identifying every individual encountered outside of combat by the templar. Furthermore, like aurum, it affects only soul-altered creatures unless explicitly stated otherwise in other lore pieces (e.g. Mystic Blades or Naz's true form).

• Furious flame may used aesthetically outside of combat(I.e. For knighting, some flavor emotes, and so on).

Purpose:

Since the dawn of time, aurum has always been used to inflict damage upon spooky creatures, and with the amendments of a year ago or so, it can inflict harm on ANY CREATURE with an altered soul, which I believe is something people forget. Creature is the KEY word. And people have been using furious flames to spook test other people, either in front of ss pillars or as soon as someone enters the city, some emoting it to burn like flames, etc. I find it cringe honestly; you guys are warriors of courage, not insecure people testing like paranoid balls anyone you cross with or who may have slightly different features; I play a templar too btw and I have seen this spook-issue testing with templarism growing as if they are paladins. Even there, just use Aurum! LITERALLY, AURUM EXISTS. Nevertheless, If we follow this thing about Aurum and furious flame that some people are having, then Heralds, Djiin, or anyone literally with a little different soul will be affected by Aurum greatly and not just necromancers, since most magics, if not all, change the souls in a way or another.

And like my other amendment, you can't always get out of a situation by approaching someone, doing a small one-sentence emote to test them with "templar flames" and thinking you will resolve all of your problems.

Aurum lore post says aurum tests doesn't work. -shrug- Redundency.

Yeah, but people and even one ST have said it did. Whilst others said it didn't, I'm merely specifying that it does not, so there will be no more issues in the future. This amendment does not come out from anywhere, or from one interaction. It has been something that happened more than once.

ST have said it does not work in the typical shallow cut testing people do, and I could've sworn templar redlines specifies you couldnt test with it or brazen bonfires but oh well. Rise of the human passport control system. must oocly verify everyone coming into my nation!!!!!!!!!

Well, not what happened recently as the situation was a bit worse but trust me. It was roleplayed like some advanced aurum and always in a poor way more than once, which is not the spirit of templarism. It feels like old paladins going around casting their magic.

I believe I heard of the incident that has sparked this amendment to be made, and I have to say as a Templar and Necromancer player together. The Furious Flames do not affect Necromancers whatsoever as they're not listed directly as those that will affect you as you're not specifically undead I'm very certain, I mean we can't even make trophies out of them because all necromancers are descendant races. Now if they're a Lich, it's an entirely different story as I believe they're definitely effected by Aurum. If in any case that any Templar in that case is literally powergaming upon you it's easy to simply call a mod or simply not indulge it, as it then turns into fail-roleplay in the end of the situation.

Bro, you literally got tped to Lurin by a staff member because you were arguing too much ooc in a combat where people tried to vibe. Fix yourself first, before complaining about others. Many of my people have been nothing but good sport and holding full communication w their conflict. If good sport means just getting killed you, I don't know what to tell you.

Idk what admin ruling ur talking about. This is my first time hearing this lol. Anyhow, if you deem random aurum testing with templarism as good sports. Well...

I am not from Hyspian LOL. I think you also got the wrong guy. If anything I was from Numendil and I am from Koyo-kuni.

These are two recent conversation I had with one of the big Necro people, and Security who is also the former writer of necro shit.

So, if we follow your logic and allegedly the one of squak. So, normal aurum works on necros and anyone else? Because Necromancers are not weak to aurum. Which as you can see, Islamadon confirms it works like Aurum.

If we have to follow your logic. Any other magic or FA can be used to spook test and out everyone as a mage or soul-based shit of sorts. Since, I believe voidal magic and such don't have stated anything about aurum.

"Aurum is an effective weakness against any creature which has had it's soul altered in some manner. Undead, spectrals, and soul-bound constructs, would all be affected by Aurum equally. Be sure to check with each lorepiece to be certain as to which hold Gold/Aurum weaknesses, and which do not. If it is specifically unspecified they are not weak to Aurum, that creature is weak to Aurum. "
