APPOINTMENTS IN THE ASSERALA COURT

IT NEARS THE PASSAGE OF TWO WINTERS SINCE I’VE TAKEN UP THE ROSE BULAVA. In that time, the courts have blossomed anew, returning to the grandeur and ardor they once knew, as new faces and familiar ones alike have returned, to serve the kingdom and the Queen amongst newfound loyalties. Each season brings greater clarity to the decisions before me, and a handful have arised since the beginning of my tenure, seasons where I have learned to shed bias and favor in pursuit of a doubtless path. With an entire winter having come and gone, I carry forth and onto the moment long needed — the time where appointments are made. By the grace of Her Majesty, Nadya of Novkursain and in wake of sought counsel, the future of the courts lies before me, entrusted to those deemed fit.
 

 

❖ㅤCOURT CHAMBERLAIN

As newer blooms arise, one must notice when it comes time to retire from the gardens. With the departure of the long-standing Lady Chamberlain Verena Weiss, another must take on the role’s responsibilities. To uplift those within the many offices diligently as one could and see to the coming of revelry awide is no task lightened by ease. It’s a matter which we call upon a trusted soul to uptake, to shoulder as they would any duty.

 

And so the Queen’s Council bestows the honor upon another, to fill the absence recently bore. With utmost faith in her efforts to come, the Queen’s Council appoints Her Ladyship, IPERA NIKULARA RUTHERN (@libertyybelle) as Court Chamberlain, to serve until resignation or replacement.

 

MISTRESS OF THE ABSTRACTㅤ❖

One of the bravest endeavors within recent reforms was the Office of the Abstract’s revival. In previous iterations of the Royal Court beneath Queens long lost to us, the office had flourished. To spark the flame once more was a gamble, for its success in contemporary times was hardly something of guarantee. Amongst the piqued intrigue of many and the steadfast efforts of its existing scholars, the office has once again proven itself worthy of past reverence.

With such spoken, a Mistress or Master must take to its oversight without delay. Upon account of past works, general aptitude, and character must an apt decision be made. Thus, the Queen’s Council has seen fit to appoint, Her Ladyship, MANON YVAINE ASHFORD DE FALSTAFF (@esotericas) as Mistress of the Abstract, to serve until resignation or replacement.   

 

❖ㅤMISTRESS OF THE ARMS
The fledgling addition to our courts, the Office of Arms; the means by which our nation’s militant spirit may course further, even to those of courtly bounds. But a budding hope which blossomed into something far greater than expected, there now stands little disconnect between the common courtier and our brotherhood’s bravest. By like efforts and the knowledge it takes to brave fields of battle, those who might have once avoided the soldier’s path take to it, upon stones they’ve chosen to set.

 

Our  Kingdom requires someone of great valor to oversee the office’s efforts. A Lady or Lord not only capable of teaching others the essence of honor but willing to ready their people in dire times. A capable soul, passionate for all which they might take on the responsibility of. Thus, the Queen’s Council appoints Her Ladyship, PHILIPPA VON REUSS (@zuziee) as Mistress of the Arms, to serve until resignation or replacement. 

 

MISTRESS OF THE ARTSㅤ❖

The Royal Court has long been the lifeblood of Haense, serving as a steadfast guardian of our culture’s preservation and flourishing. Beyond the ones of it, the greatest pillar of any culture is the art it creates. From oil-painted canvases, to poems that flow from the tongues of bards like sweet honey, to fashion trends that even the humblest of women adopt to mirror their Queen—these are but a share of examples by which our culture thrives. At the very center of the court’s efforts to ensure cultural prosperity is the Office of the Arts, a sect where aspirants breathe life into concepts of old whilst producing pieces meant to endure eras upon eras. 

 

To oversee the office’s operations, ushering in an epoch of culture not soon forgotten, requires the entrustment of one most capable. Certain of her competence, the Queen’s Council appoints Her Ladyship, ELIA LEONTINA VAN LEUVEN (@Dramatude) as Mistress of the Arts, to serve until resignation or replacement.
 

 

❖ㅤCOURT HISTORIAN.

Last recognized in Queen-consort Juliya of Reinmar’s courtly structure, the Court Historian was a position meant to bolster and strengthen The Haeseni Museum and Library’s collections. Although such still remains true, given sanctioning, the Court Historian now rests beneath the Royal Secretary’s office, aiding in initiatives alongside its own distinct duties; gathering of historical articles, preserving personal archives, etcetera.

 

Beyond the former Grand Lady’s wishes and looking onto her persistent enthusiasm regarding the position, as well as her general aptitude, the Queen's Council appoints The Honourable, EVELINA IRENA VALKONEN (@Emmmm) as Court Historian, to serve beneath the Office of the Royal Secretary until resignation or replacement.

 

 

Although explicit mention of them is omitted from the Asserala Court’s structure, prominent roles such as the Court Alchemist and Court Astronomer continue to exist beneath their respective offices. Despite existing as solely titular holdings, these appointments are still ones of great importance, coming with an array of expectations and a certain prestige.
 

❖ㅤMISTRESS OF WARDROBE.

The Mistress of Wardrobe is a role which has existed since the reign of Queen-consort Emma of Jerovitz. Now charged with fitting the royal family, though primarily Her Majesty, the Queen, the role takes on the guise of a personal seamstress more so than it once did.
 

Thus, in recognition of her contributions and prowess, Firress, YELIZAVETA MAHAUT (@retro) is bestowed the role Mistress of the Wardrobe, to bear the title beneath the Office of Arts until resignation or replacement.

 

COURT BARD.ㅤ❖

There are few pleasures greater than standing witness to a bard’s performance. And beneath every royal court, an array of artists lay, whether they bear instruments or merely their tongues. The Asserala Court is no different, though beyond aspirants lays a newly raised position; the Court Bard, an individual well-versed in all means of performance, who is no doubt deserving of the title. 

 

In recognition of his expertise with the strings and countless years of playing, His Lordship, CARDAN MATTEO VAN LEUVEN (@PeachLova) is recognized as the Court Bard, to serve beneath the Office of Arts until resignation or replacement.

From the space beyond even the furthest stars, the former and first Master of the Abstract mused wistfully.

 

Who would dream the Alchemist would take his title? Order and Process to where it had naught. 

 

As with all thoughts, it drifts away - an unblinking gaze to wander the gap between stars.

Upon reading her name in the missive, Elia smiles with all of her teeth. "Ea will do mea Koenas ag Kongzem right with mea leadership!" She vows and holds the missive close to her chest. "So many plans!"
