Gallio thought back to when he befriended the great falcon in the Crothstad forest. "Been a whileh since Ah took ye on a proper good hunt." He said to his companion. "Ah'm sureh we'll find a great beast t' slay soon."

''GET YER 'EAD OUTTA T'E GUTTER GALLIO'' yelled Obok, wearer of the Bonecarver's helmet that he aquired in the Crothstad forest as a oversized moose was charging out of some nearby shrubbery ''its comin rig't at us!"

Hi firstly, I want to say I appreciate the lengthy and pretty formatted retelling of many of the world events this map I don't want 2 dismiss that or come across as a nerd w/ this comment but I don't think the Malchaediel part is lore correct as someone who played the entire thing through. The radiant star is just a symbol, and it wasnt even codified as Malch's symbol in lore, which has become the horse and is more of a culture thing than a lore thing. He found peace with Jophiael after accepting serenity (good ending), thus accepting Jophiael's influence upon him and allowed him to combine with and rule over her realm.

again I don't wanna detract from the really nice post but I just think it's good for lore precedent to be accurate. hope im not overstepping here, much love and all that.

Victor had reread the missive a few times. In recent days, he had found himself reinvigorated. The Palmreader who's identity was consumed by that of Pursuit read through the lore over and over. He was familiar, and, acquainted, with much of it intimately: for he had lived it.

That was when, rereading, his stomach had sank a touch. His eye focusing on those words. He pondered, for a moment, the capitalization of the 'M'.

His eye traveled off the paper, and to the side. His eye looked to a familiar giant-- at least the familiar shape of one. One of the great, monolithic creatures that silently prowled around, and about, in and under all things. It stood in the corner of the tavern, head hung down, it's back pressed upon the roof as if it simply did not fit within the confines of the room. Looking upon it's face: he often saw prophecy and portent. Though he looked to it and saw the beacon that burned within his mind.

The Mountain.

It's eminent form standing foremost against a twinkling night's sky: a tapestry of speckled black bedazzled by cosmic starlight. It's imposing alabaster form spotless, despite the blood and bodies that crept along it's paths towards it's peak.

He could never not see it. He could never unsee it. It was an integral part of him. He recalled, as he reached the peak of his power, that call for more. To give in, to become more than Victor; to become what he pursued most.

Memory was not a slide upon the mind: a still image and a sound replayed, a sensation felt, and a place revisited.

No.

Memory was a person; a name.

And they, likely, were very... very... old.
